This study aims to analyse the factors that determine the adoption of smart factories, and the effects according to the level of adoption. Efforts to increase the utilization effects will also be studied. This study is a quantitative study based on our previous studies. The variables, government support and external pressure were selected as environment independent. Process stress, product difficulty, and information technology utilization experience were selected as technical characteristics. The adoption of smart factory systems and smart factory facilities were selected as intermediate variables, dependent variables include utilization effects: satisfaction with use, defect rate reduction, productivity improvement, and delivery rate improvement. The results of the study are as follows. First, environmental factors, technical characteristics, and experience in utilizing information technology affect the adoption of smart factories. Among the environmental factors, external pressure was found to have an influence, and experience in utilizing information technology was also found to have an influence. In terms of technical characteristics, product difficulty was found to have a significant defining influence on the adoption of smart factory facilities. Second, both smart factory system adoption and smart factory facility adoption have a significant impact on utilization effect. This study identified factors necessary for the adoption of smart factories and examined the influence of each factor. Through this study, we learned what factors are necessary for SMEs to adopt and operate smart factories, how the level of adoption affects the utilization effect, and what factors are derived from the utilization effect and how they are related to each other. Through this study, companies that are in the process of introducing and increasing the level of adoption of smart factories can learn how to successfully advance to the next level and what kind of utilization effects are expected.

본 연구에서는 4차 산업혁명의 주요 내용인 스마트팩토리에 대해 심층적으로 분석하고, 스마트 팩토리를 도입하는 업체들은 어떤 요인으로 도입을 결정지으며, 도입수준에 따라 어떤 활용효과가 발생하고 있고, 활용효과를 높이기 위해서는 어떤 노력을 해야 하는지 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구는 선행연구들을 바탕으로 정량연구를 실시하였다. 독립변수로는 환경요인으로 정부지원과 외부압박, 기술적 특성으로 공정 스트레스와 제품 난이도, 정보기술 활용경험이 도출되었고, 매개변수로는 도입수준인 스마트팩토리 시스템도입과 스마트팩토리 시설도입이 도출되었다. 종속변수로는 활용효과인 사용만족도, 불량률감소, 생산성향상, 납기율향상이 도출되었다. 해당 변수에 따른 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스마트팩토리 도입에는 환경요인과 기술적 특성, 정보기술 활용경험이 영향을 미치는데 환경요인 중에서도 외부압박은 영향관계가 도출되었으며, 정보기술 활용경험도 영향관계가 도출되었다. 기술적 특성에서는 제품 난이도가 스마트팩토리 시설도입에 유의미한 정의 영향관계가 도출 되었다. 둘째, 스마트팩토리 시스템도입과 스마트팩토리 시설도입은 활용효과에 모두 유의한 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구에서는 스마트팩토리를 도입하기 위해 필요한 요인을 도출 하여 각 요인별 영향관계를 알아보았다. 해당 연구를 통해 중소기업들이 스마트팩토리를 도입하고 운영하는데 어떤 요인들이 필요한지 알게 되었고, 도입 수준에 따라 활용효과와 어떠한 영향관계가 있는지 알아보았다. 그리고 활용효과에는 어떤 요인들이 도출되며, 각각 어떤 영향관계가 있는지도 알아 볼 수 있었다. 해당 연구를 통해 스마트팩토리를 도입 및 도입 수준을 높여가야하는 고민 속에 있는 업체라면, 어떻게 해야 성공적으로 단계를 상승시켜나갈 수 있고, 어떤 활용효과가 기대되는지 알 수 있을 것이다.
