With the advancement of AI and technology, cybercrime is progressively evolving, elevating the importance of network analysis in criminal investigations. However, investigative agencies predominantly rely on basic data analysis and the utilization of social network analysis techniques is limited. This study analyzed the centrality and structural holes within the communication records and statements of three cyber gambling operations. The results of the analysis identified the ‘mastermind’ as a key figure with high centrality in all organizations, while the ‘manager’ played the role of a broker with high betweenness centrality. Additionally, the centrality analysis of the statements confirmed the presence of key individuals not identified in the communication records, supporting the statements made by organization members. While the structural holes in the communication records mirrored the results for betweenness centrality, they provided a multifaceted perspective on the criminal network. This research is expected to present a new approach to the network analysis of criminal organizations and assist in the development of effective response strategies.

AI와 기술 발전으로 사이버 범죄가 점차 진화하고 있으며 이로 인해 수사과정에서 범죄 네트워크 분석의 중요성이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 수사기관은 기초적인 데이터 분석에 의존하고 있고 소셜네트워크분석 기법의 활용이 제한적이다. 이 연구는 3개의 사이버 도박 운영 조직의 통화내역과 진술을 기반으로 중심성과 구조적 공백을 분석했다. 분석 결과 모든 조직에서 ‘총책’은 높은 중심성을 가지고 있는 핵심 인물로 식별되었고, ‘실장’은 매개중심성이 높은 중개자 역할을 하고 있다. 또한 진술 중심성 분석에서는 통화내역에서 식별되지 않은 중요 인물이 확인되어 조직원의 진술을 뒷받침하였다. 통화내역의 구조적 공백은 매개중심성 결과와 유사하지만 범죄 네트워크에 대한 다각적인 시각을 제공한다. 이 연구는 범죄 조직의 네트워크 분석에 대한 새로운 접근법을 제시하고 효과적인 대응 전략을 개발하는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
