Objectives The aim of this study is to analyze the relationships among grit, career exploration behaviors, and social adaptation expectations in collegiate athletes. Methods The subjects comprised 196 athletes from five universities across four regions. The instruments utilized included scales for grit, career exploration behaviors, and social adaptation expectations. Data analyses conducted were frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and path analysis. Results The results indicated that perseverance, a component of grit, positively affects both personal(.389) and vocational(.537) exploration behaviors. Additionally, perseverance positively influenced positive expectations(.304) for social adaptation and negatively impacted negative expectations(-.552). Personal exploration behaviors were found to positively influence positive social adaptation expectations(.166). and Vocational exploration behaviors were found to positively influence positive social adaptation expectations(.385). Conclusions The study suggests educational strategies to enhance grit and actively engage athletes in career exploration activities.

이 연구의 목적은 대학운동선수의 그릿, 진로탐색행동 및 사회적응기대의 관계를 분석하는 것이다. 연구대상은 4 개 지역 5개 대학의 대학운동선수 196명이다. 연구도구는 그릿, 진로탐색행동 및 사회적응기대 척도를 사용하였다. 자료분석은 빈도분석, 확인적요인분석, 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석 및 경로분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 그릿 과 진로탐색행동의 관계에서 끈기가 개인적탐색행동에 경로계수 .389와 직업적탐색행동에 경로계수 .537로 정적인 영 향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 그릿과 사회적응기대의 관계에서 끈기가 긍정적기대에 경로계수 .304로 정적인 영향을 미치며, 끈기가 부정적기대에 경로계수 -.552로 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로탐색행동과 사회적응기대의 관계에서 개인적탐색행동이 긍정적기대에 경로계수 .166으로 정적인 영향을 미치며, 직업적탐색행동 이 긍정적기대에 경로계수 .385로 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 시사점으로 대학운동선수의 그릿을 높이 고, 진로탐색활동 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 교육적 대안을 제시하였다.
