In the era of globalization, higher education not only plays a critical role in nurturing talent and promoting scientific and technological innovation, but it also faces various challenges such as international competition and changing social demands. As higher education systems around the world continue to evolve and transform, there are differences in the design, operational mechanisms, and evaluation indicators of higher education assessment models across countries, while at the same time, they face a series of common challenges and issues. Therefore, this study aims to compare and reference the higher education assessment models of China, South Korea, and the United States under the backdrop of globalization. The results show that China's higher education assessment model is mainly government-led, with participation from universities and the public; South Korea's model is primarily government-led, involving evaluations by professional assessment agencies, with joint efforts from private institutions and market forces; and the United States' model is mainly based on government delegation, led by accreditation agencies, and self-evaluation by universities. The findings aim to promote the exchange of experiences and cooperation among higher education institutions in different countries and to contribute to the qualitative improvement and joint development of global higher education.

현대 세계화 시대에서 고등교육은 인재 양성 및 과학기술 혁신을 촉진하는 중요한 역할을 맡고 있을 뿐만 아니라 국제 경쟁과 사회적 요구 변화 등 다양한 도전에 직면해 있다. 그러나 세계 각국의 고등교육 체계가 지속적으로 발전하고 변화함에 따라 고등교 육 평가 모델의 설계, 운영 메커니즘, 평가 지표 등에 있어 국가별로 차이가 존재하며, 동시에 일련의 공통된 도전과 문제에도 직면해 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 글로벌화 배경 하에 중국, 한국, 미국 세 나라의 고등교육 평가 모델을 비교하고 참고하는 논의를 펼친 다. 연구 결과, 중국의 고등교육 평가 모델은 주로 정부 주도, 대학 및 대중 참여 모델로 나타났으며, 한국의 고등교육 평가 모델은 주로 정부 주도, 전문 평가 기관 평가, 민간 기관과 시장의 힘이 공동으로 작용하는 모델로 나타났고, 미국의 고등교육 평가 모델은 주로 정부 위임, 인증 기관 주도, 대학 자체 평가 모델로 나타났다. 연구 결과는 각국 고등교육 기관 간의 경험 교류와 협력을 촉진하고, 글로벌 고등교육의 질적 향상과 공 동 발전을 도모하는 데 목적이 있다.
