Recently, the K-Tourism Island project is in progress by government, focusing on recreation and experiences that combine the clean tourist island and K-culture. Baengnyeong Island was selected as part of the K-Tourism Island project among give isalnds in the West Sea, and tourism is being revitalized through the construction of Baekryeong Airport, a duty-free strategy for Koreans, and a joint regional win-win cluster strategy. On the other hand, the five islands in the West Sea have tourism constraints such as low accessibility, underdeveloped lcoal infrastructure, and lack of tourist products. This study focused on analyzing tourist experiences in the five islands in the West Sea, and by using online review data that potential tourists review to reduce uncertainty of island destinations, we understand the experiences of tourists and deeply analyzed their tourism behavior. To analyze the language network, frequency analysis, and N-gram analysis, and CONCOR cluster analysis were performed using online review data from Baengnyeong Island, Daecheong Island, and Yeonpyeong Island, among the five islands in the West Sea. This study aimed to establish a theoretical basis for revitalizing tourism and improving competitiveness by identifying problems with island tourism projects in order to explore ways in which tourism development of the five islands in the West Sea can have a positive impact on local communities. Through the research results, we expect to develop strategies to fully utilize the potential of unique tourist destinations such as the five islands in the West Sea, strengthen our identity as a K-tourism island, and seek sustainable tourism development.

최근 정부에서는 청정 관광지인 섬과 휴양과 체험을 중심으로 K-컬처를 결합하여 섬을 특화하는 K-관광섬 사업을 진행 중에 있다. 2023년 K-관광섬 사업의 일환으로 서해 5도 중에서는 백령도가 선정되었다. 이러한 배경에 발맞춰 백령도에서는 백령공 항 건설, 내국인 면세 전략, 지역 공동 상생 클러스터 전략 등을 통해 지역관광을 활성 화하고 있다. 한편으로 서해 5도는 낮은 접근성과 낙후된 지역 인프라, 관광 상품 부 족이라는 관광 제약조건 또한 갖고 있다. 이 연구는 서해 5도 지역의 관광자 경험을 분석하는 데에 중점을 두었다. 그 중에서 잠재 관광자들이 섬 관광지의 불확실성 감소 를 위해 고려하는 온라인 리뷰를 분석함으로써 관광자들의 경험을 이해하고 관광 행 태를 깊이 있게 분석하였다. 언어 네트워크 분석을 위해 서해 5도 중 백령도, 대청도, 연평도의 온라인 리뷰 데이터를 활용하여 빈도분석, N-gram 분석, CONCOR 군집 분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구는 서해 5도의 관광개발이 지역사회에 긍정적 영향을 미 치는 방안을 탐색하기 위해 섬 관광사업에 대한 문제점을 파악하여 관광 활성화와 경 쟁력 제고의 이론적 근거를 마련하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 연구 결과를 통해 향후 서 해 5도와 같은 독특한 관광지의 잠재력을 최대한 활용하는 전략을 개발하고, K-관광 섬으로써 정체성 강화 및 지속 가능한 관광개발을 모색할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
