This study analyzes the global trends in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management disclosure, focusing on the public disclosure of tax information. The transparency of tax information plays a vital role in improving the ESG performance especially for the G(governance) sector and has been gaining importance in ESG disclosures. However, in Korea, there is still a significant lack of detailed discussion on standards and policy directions for ESG tax information disclosure. Therefore, this research reviews the ESG disclosure guidelines related to taxation published by major international organizations and examines the scope and evolving international trends of tax information disclosure in key countries such as the EU, the USA, and the UK. Based on this analysis, the study presents policy implications for determining the qualitative and quantitative scope of tax information disclosure and suggests strategies for enhancing the disclosure of tax information. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights for policymakers and corporations seeking to enhance tax transparency in the expansion of ESG management.

본 연구는 ESG 경영 공시와 관련하여 조세정보의 공개를 중심으로 국제적 추세를 분석한다. 조세정 보의 투명성은 ESG의 지배구조(G) 개선에 중요한 역할을 하며 최근 ESG 공시에 있어서도 중요성이 부 각되고 있다. 다만 우리나라에서 아직까지 ESG 조세정보 공시에 대한 기준과 정책적 방향성에 대한 구체적 논의는 매우 부족한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 주요 국제기관들이 발표한 조세관련 ESG 공 시 가이드라인을 검토하고, EU, 미국, 영국 등 주요 국가들의 조세정보 공개 범위와 변화하는 국제적 동향을 살펴본다. 이를 바탕으로 조세정보의 정성적·정량적 공개 범위 결정, 조세정보 공시 강화 방안 등 정책적 대안을 마련하는데 참고할 시사점을 제시한다. 이는 ESG 경영 확대를 위해 조세투명성을 증 진시키고자 하는 정책 결정자들과 기업에게 유용한 통찰을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.
