This study aimed to explore the meaning and essence of gynecologycal cancer survivor’s sexual life recovery experiences by collecting data from seven gynecological cancer survivors between April 1 and October 30,2023, using Colaizzi’s phenomenological method. This study used an applied qualitative design. The sexual life recovery experiences fo gynecological cancer survivors were organized into, nine theme collections, and three categories. The final themes and categories derived were “negatively changed sexual life”, “could not maintain sexual life due to fear and anxiety about cancer recurrence,” “decreased sexual desire due to pain and painful intercourse,” and “incorrect sexual knowledge.” Three theme collections of misunderstading’ were derived. In the newly strengthened relationship with husband category, three themes sere derived. “feeling sorry for husband and emotional chamges,” “maintaining sexual intimacy in a new way” and “changed sexual life pattern” In the changing the direction of life for me category, three themes sere derived. “changing to a positive self”, “living for my own body” and “trying new changes”. Contined development and intervention programs are necessary to help gynecological cancer survivors recover a healty sexual life.

본 연구는 부인암 생존자의 성생활 회복 경험에 대한 의미와 본질을 탐색하고자 7명을 대상으로 2023년 4월 1일부터 10월 30일까지 자료를 수집하여 Colaizzi의 현상학적 연구 방법을 적용한 질적연구이다. 연구결과 부 인암 생존자의 성생활 회복 경험은 9개의 주제 모음, 3개의 범주로 도출되었다. 최종 ‘부정적으로 변화된 성생활’ 의 범주에서는 ‘암의 재발에 대한 두려움과 불안으로 유지되지 못하는 성생활’, ‘ 고통스럽고 아픈 성교로 인한 성 욕감퇴’, ‘잘못된 성 지식으로 인한 오해’가 3개 주제로 도출되었다. ‘남편과의 새롭게 다져진 관계’의 범주에서는 ‘남편에 대한 미안한 마음과 감정 변화’, ‘새로운 방법으로 성적 친밀감 유지’, ‘변화된 성생활 패턴’이 3개 주제가 도출되었다. ‘나를 위한 삶의 방향 전환’의 범주에서는 ‘긍정적인 모습으로 전환’, ‘나 자신의 몸을 위해 살아가기’, ‘새로운 변화 시도하기’의 3개의 주제가 도출되었다. 부인암 생존자들의 건강한 성생활 회복에 도움이 되는 지속적 인 중재 프로그램 개발과 지원이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
