The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the factors influencing organizational performance of social cooperatives and derive policy implications for securing organizational performance and sustainability based on this analysis. For this purpose, we used management disclosure data (2023) from 306 social cooperatives that employ vulnerable groups across the country, and additionally collected data through analysis of the homepages of individual cooperatives. Factors influencing performance were divided into three categories: network capability factors, organizational characteristics factors, and financial factors, and regional characteristics factors were set as control variables and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, First, the number of union members, investment amount, and asset size were found to have a significant positive effect on the economic performance of the organization, and the size of assets was analyzed as the most influential factor. Second, only the external and internal capabilities of the network were found to have a significant positive effect on the social performance of the organization. In particular, it was analyzed that the network's internal capabilities had a greater impact than external capabilities. Third, differences in influencing factors by performance type were confirmed. The size and financial factors of the organization were important factors in the economic performance of the organization, and the network capacity factor was an important factor in the social performance. Based on these results, policy implications for creating performance of social cooperatives were presented.

본 연구의 목적은 사회적협동조합 조직성과의 영향요인을 실증적으로 분석하고 이를 토대로 조직성 과 및 지속가능성 확보를 위한 정책적 시사점을 도출하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 전국 306개 취약계층 고용형 사회적협동조합의 경영공시자료(2023년)를 활용하였으며 추가적으로 개별조합의 홈페이지 분 석을 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 성과의 영향요인으로 네트워크 역량요인, 조직특성요인, 재정요인 등 3가지로 구분하였고, 지역특성요인을 통제변수로 설정하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 조합원수, 출 자금액, 자산규모가 조직의 경제적 성과에 정(+)의 방향으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났 으며, 자산의 규모가 가장 큰 영향요인으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 네트워크 외부역량과 내부역량만이 조 직의 사회적 성과에 정(+)의 방향으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 네트워크 내부 역량이 외부역량보다 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 성과유형별 영향요인의 차이를 확인하였다. 조직의 경제적 성과에는 조직의 규모와 재정요인이 중요한 요인이었으며, 사회적 성과에 는 네트워크 역량요인이 중요한 요인으로 작용하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 사회적협동조합의 성과 창출을 위한 정책적 시사점 등을 제시하였다.
