This study uses Gagne’s DMGT model, which describes a method of differentiating gift from talent in education, focusing on the concept of cultivating participants in reality music programs by analyzing the "Produce101" series. Hence, a detailed analysis of how the cultivation process of talent shows is presented was conducted, focusing on the six constituent elements of the DMGT model: gift, intrapersonal catalysts, environmental catalysts, the developmental process, chance and talent. Through this multi-faceted analysis, we explore how the elements that a reality audition program should have are incorporated and how the actual training process can be presented via broadcasts. The revised version of the DMGT model proposed in this study could prove to be a useful tool for analyzing and studying music talent audition shows and even further any shows that feature the concept of cultivation.

본 연구에서는 교육학에서 영재성과 재능을 구별하여 인재 개발로 나아가는 과정을 그린 모델인 가네(Gagne)의 DMGT 모델 을 활용하여 리얼리티 음악 오디션 프로그램에서의 참가자 ‘육성’의 개념에 초점을 맞추고 이를 <프로듀스 101> 시리즈의 사 례를 통해 분석하였다. 이를 위해 오디션 프로그램의 육성 프로세스가 어떻게 시청자들에게 제시되고 이해되는지를 DMGT 모델의 6가지 구성요소인 영재성, 개인적 내적 촉매, 환경적 촉매, 발달 과정, 우연/기회와 재능을 중심으로 세부 분석하였다. 이러한 다각도 분석을 통해 리얼리티 오디션 프로그램의 구성요소들이 어떻게 대입되었는지, 그리고 실제 육성 과정이 어떻 게 방송에서 시청자들을 설득할 수 있게 연출될 수 있는지 탐구하였다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 DMGT모델의 수정 버전은 음 악 오디션 리얼리티 프로그램, 나아가 ‘육성’의 개념이 담긴 리얼리티 프로그램을 분석하고 연구하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이며 연구자들이 제작자의 의도를 파악하는 데도 의미있는 도구가 될 수 있을 것이라 본다.
