This paper analyzes the marine elements peculiar to the genre in the poetry of ethnic publications that represent the life of Zainichi society. In Democracy Joseon and Chosun Criticism, longings for the homeland and ideological ironies of the times were expressed the medium of the marine. The marine elements found in the poetry of Korean Review have been manifested in various aspects, such as the marginal dilemma, poetic imagery, and connotations that have been excluded from the mainstream as a diaspora and minority in Japan. Samcheolly is based on the literary motif of the narrative marine connected to the symbolic space of the Zainichi diaspora in Japan. Through the appreciation of the travelogue series of Cheongu, the multifaceted meaning of the marine was emphasized. The marine elements found in the poetry of Horumon Culture have been reorganized according to its arrangement and combination with its surroundings through a literary perspective as a poetic object. In conclusion, in line with the orientation and characteristics of each medium of publication in Japan, the marine elements are at the core of poetry and literature as a structure that is embedded in the situation of the times They represented the changes in Zainichi’s consciousness factually, symbolically, and implicitly.
