This study was conducted with the aim of providing directions for establishing and operating an university environment for ESG education to align with rapidly changing societal trends. ESG is now considered not only a condition for legitimacy in universities beyond the field of management and economics but also a core element for achieving sustainability. Based on the distributed in 2023, the current situation of YUHAN University was evaluated, and proposals for the university's role and practical measures were suggested. Rather than satisfying all the items of the University ESG Guidelines 1.0, which consist of four areas, 19 categories, and 88 diagnostic items, the aim is to select indicators that can be easily practiced and accessible to both students and faculty, as well as helpful for the RISE project introduced for the symbiotic growth of the region and the university. By selecting and implementing such indicators, it is intended to propose measures to reduce psychological and economic burdens associated with ESG activities and sustainability.

본 연구는 급변하는 사회 흐름에 부합하기 위한 전문대학의 ESG 환경 구축 및 운영 방향성을 제시하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. ESG는 이제 경영경제 분야를 넘어 대학에서도 정당성을 확보하기 위한 조건임은 물론 지속가능 성을 달성하기 위한 핵심 요소로 간주되고 있다. 이에 2023년에 배포된 <대학 ESG 가이드라인 1.0>을 기반으로 현재의 유한대학교 상황을 평가해보고 대학의 역할 및 실천 방안을 제안해보고자 하였다: 4개 영역, 19개 범주, 88개의 진단 항목으로 구성된 대학 ESG 가인드라인 1.0의 모든 항목을 만족시키기 보다는 학생, 교직원 모두가 쉽게 실천할 수 있고 접근 용이한 파트들, 지역과 대학의 동반성장을 위해 도입되는 RISE 사업에도 도움이 될 수 있는 지표들을 추려내고 실천함으로써 유한대학교의 ESG 활동 및 지속에 심리적, 경제적 부담감을 줄이기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 그리고 유한대학교의 사례를 통해 타 전문대학의 ESG 활동에도 실무적, 실천적으로 기여하고자 한다.
