Chemical composition and biological activity of Pinus densiflora extracts

초록

영어

Pinus densiflorastem, inner bark and outer bark were collected and ground after drying, then immersed with 70 % aqueous EtOH for 3 days, respectively. After filtration, the extracts were fractionated with n-hexane, chloroform (CHCl3), ethylacetate(EtOAc) and H2O. Then an tioxidative and glucose uptake activity were evaluated on each fraction of stem, inner bark and outer bark. Antioxidative activity indicated high activity in the EtOAc soluble fraction of inner and outer bark. A portion of EtOAc- (5.7g) and water-soluble (6.08g) fraction from inner and outer bark were chromatographed on a Sephadex LH-20 column with various aqueous MeOH-H2O. Three compounds were isolated and elucidated as (+)-catechin(1), taxifolin (2) and taxifolin-3’-O-β-D-(+)-glucose (3) by spectral and literature data, and also by comparison with the authentic samples.
