Growth Environmental Characteristics and Vegetation Structure of Vaccinium oldhami Natural Populations

The study is to propose basic information of habitat conservation and cultivation by analyzing the site characteristics and environmental in Vaccinium oldhami habitats. The results of surveying the flora were recorded as 129 taxa, 50 families, 95 genera, 96 species, 23 varieties 8 forma and 2 subspecies. Woody plants showed 31.1% of surveying the flora. Using two way cluster analysis applied by the PC-ORD, a Vaccinium oldhami habitats community classified was analyzed. The community was classified as Pinus thunbergii, Pinus rigida, Quercus mongolica and Castanea crenata. The inhabitant soil texture is silt loam and soil acidity mean is 4.63 in the range as pH 3.93~5.07. It is lower than the average value of forest soil acidity in Korea(pH 5.5). The electric conductivity is ranged as 0.10 – 0.49 ds/m and soil organic content is ranged as 0.58 ~ 34.84%. The average available phosphate was 9.485mg/kg, which was lower than the average value of the average available phosphate 26mg/kg in Korean forest soil.
