This paper aims to reveal the poetic direction that the poem wants to convey and the poetic world that the poet seeks by focusing on the poetic image of compassion and consolation for the author’s creative poetry. In this regard, the reason why we should pay attention to the emotion of compassion first was examined, and the concept of compassion and the meaning and characteristics of comfort were examined. Compassion was viewed as originating from interest in the other, and here it was suggested that the other encompasses not only others but also all objects, environments, and languages around them, and that in poetry, even themselves can be seen as other. In addition, compassion was viewed as a painful emotion felt while empathizing with the object for the self-centered other in a situation of anxiety. Therefore, it shows how the anxiety expressed by the loss of one’s existence in busy and complicated daily life is developed in the poem by linking it with the poetic consciousness of compassion. It opened up possibilities. The comfort shown in this paper is closely related to the image. Dynamic and sensual images originating from nature are reborn as fantastic images through various transformations through a mirror called image, becoming a medium that can restore vitality. In addition, it was intended to reveal the comfort caused by catharsis evoked by tragic lyricism. In the development of the poetic consciousness, first, compassion for the other reminds us of the life of the other through the author’s poem ｢Camel’s Feet｣, and examines how compassion for the ‘camel’ in the real world is shown using image association and regression techniques. saw. Second, compassion for an insecure existence starts with recognizing one’s own existential problems in an anxious state, and leads to finding the meaning of existence by imagining the unconscious and inner world in the poem “Adolescence”. Third, consolation through fantastic images is an exploration of existence that cannot be said, is not clear, and is not true in reality.

본고는 필자의 창작시를 대상으로 연민과 위로의 시적 형상화에 주목 하여 시가 전하고자 하는 시의 방향과 시인이 추구하는 시세계가 무엇인 지 밝히고자 하였다. 이에 우선적으로 연민이라는 감정에 주목해야 하는 이유를 살펴보고 연민의 개념과 위로가 가지는 의미와 특징들을 고찰하 였다. 연민은 타자에 대한 관심에서 비롯된다고 보았으며 여기서 타자는 타 인뿐만 아니라 자신 주변의 모든 사물과 환경, 언어 모두를 포괄하는 것 으로 시에 있어서는 자기 자신까지도 타자화 하여 보여질 수 있음을 제시 하였다. 또한 연민은 불안이라는 상황에서 자기화 된 타자에 대해 대상과 공감하면서 느끼는 괴로운 감정으로 보았다. 따라서 바쁘고 복잡한 일상 에서 자기 존재성을 상실함으로 나타나는 불안감을 연민이라는 시의식 과 연관지어 시 속에서 어떻게 전개되고 있는가를 보여주고 이를 통해 자기 자신을 되집어 볼 수 있는 계기를 마련하며 좀 더 성숙한 존재로 성장할 수 있는 가능성을 열어보였다. 본고에 나타나는 위로는 이미지와 밀접한 관련성을 가지고 있다. 자연 에서 비롯되는 역동적이고 감각적인 이미지는 심상이라는 거울을 통해 다양한 변이를 거쳐 환상적 이미지로 재탄생됨으로 생명성을 회복시킬 수 있는 매개가 된다. 아울러 비극적 서정성이 불러일으키는 카타르시스 에 의한 위로를 드러내 보이고자 하였는데 이것은 슬픔으로서 슬픔을 극복해 나가는 시적 위로를 담고 있다. 시의식의 전개에 있어서 첫째, 타자에 대한 연민은 저자의 시｢낙타의 발｣을 통해 타자의 일생을 떠올리고 이미지 연상과 회귀기법을 이용하여 현실세계의 ‘낙타’에 대한 연민이 어떻게 보여지고 있는지 살펴보았다. 둘째, 불안한 존재를 향한 연민은 불안한 상태에서 자신의 존재적 문제를 인식하는 것으로 출발하여 시 ｢사춘기｣에서 무의식과 내면의 세계를 상 상하며 실존의 의미를 찾는 데에 이른다. 셋째, 환상적 이미지를 통한 위로는 현실에서 말할 수 없고 명료하지 않으며 진실하지 않은 존재에 대한 탐구로 시 ｢변명｣ 속에서 환상적 이미지로 상처받은 내면을 공감하 며 그것을 보호하고 위로하는 과정을 보여준다.
