”Who is Jesus Christ for us today?“ Dietrich Bonhoeffer asked this question in prison which was the last part of his life journey. He created diverse discourses about Jesus Christ in his major works from Sanctorum Communio to Widerstand und Ergebung. This study aims to investigate who was Christ and reorganize his understanding of Christ in his major works, discussing what topics and content his understanding of Christ provided to the practical theological discourse. In addition, the study will find the pastoral theological points of application in his understanding of Christ and discuss how they can contribute as theology for the ministry of here and today by creating a conversation with pastoral theological topics and discourses in Pastoral Theology by Thomas C. Oden. For Bonhoeffer, Christ exists as the church-community, fostering dynamic fellowship among the saints, interpreting creation through the incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection, calling disciples, freeing consciences, and being God present in suffering. Who is Jesus Christ to us today? He is the Lord of the 'communion' community, melting away the strangeness and coldness of the big city. He is the steward of the life community, preserving creation and still supplying life through the 'prayer' of the Psalms, leading worship and prayer. He also calls disciples through 'baptism' and continues to ask what responsibility is for our neighbors. Not an almighty being, but an infinitely fragile one, bearing the suffering of all beings on this earth and sharing in their pain. To pastors called as servants of the Lord of this earth, Bonhoeffer teaches who Christ is and what Christ is today and here. Bonhoeffer's understanding of Christ encounters the content of Odens' "Pastoral Theology" and proposes how the present Christ's image can be applied in pastoral theological discourse, such as communion, worship, baptism, prayer, and disciple-making. Bonhoeffer urges pastors of today, living with the incarnate Christ in community, to pursue practical discourse based on fundamental understanding of Christ, not merely adhering to theoretical pastoral theological discourse or living according to manuals. Particularly, unlike the omnipotent God, Bonhoeffer suggests entering into the suffering as the fragile Christ who is present in suffering.

Oden)이 『목회신학』에 서 다루는 목회신학적 주제 및 담론들과도 대화하면서, 본회퍼의 그리스도 이해의 목 회신학적 적용점들을 마련하고, 오늘, 여기의 목회를 위한 신학으로 어떠한 기여를 할 수 있는지도 논의해 보고자 한다. 본회퍼에게 그리스도는 공동체로 탈존하시며, 역동적인 성도의 교제를 창조해나가 시는 분, 성육신 십자가 부활을 통해 창조를 해석하는 근거이시고, 제자로 부르시는 분, 양심을 자유롭게 하시는 분, 고난 가운데 계신 하나님이시다. 오늘 우리에게 예수 그리스도는 누구신가? 그는 대도시의 낯섬과 차가움을 녹이시는 ‘성찬’ 공동체의 주인 이시다. 창조를 보존하는 생명공동체의 주관자이시며, 시편의 ‘기도’를 통해 여전히 생명을 공급하시는 예배와 기도를 이끄시는 분이시다. 또한 ‘세례’를 통해 제자로 부르 시고, 이웃을 위한 책임이 무엇인지 계속해서 묻고 계신다. 전능자가 아니라, 한없이 연약하신 분으로 이 땅의 모든 존재들의 고난을 짊어지시고, 함께 고통당하고 계신다. 이 땅의 주님의 종으로 부르심을 받은 목회자들에게 본회퍼는 그리스도가 누구신지, 오늘, 여기에서의 그리스도가 무엇인지 가르쳐준다. 본회퍼의 그리스도 이해는 오덴의 『목회신학』의 내용을 만나, 성찬, 예배, 세례, 기도, 제자도와 같은 목회신학적 담론 에서 어떻게 지금, 여기의 그리스도의 형상이 적용될 수 있는지 구체적으로 제안하고 있다. 본회퍼는 지금, 여기의 목회자들이 공동체로 탈존하는 그리스도와 함께 살아가 면서, 그의 다양한 형상과 역할의 대리적 행위를 통해, 단순히 목회신학적 담론의 이 론만을 숙지하고 매뉴얼대로 살아가는 사람들이 아니라, 근본적인 그리스도 이해를 기반으로, 오늘, 여기에서의 구체적인 실천적 담론을 끊임없이 추구하라고 요청한다. 특히 오덴의 신정론적 입장과는 다르게 전능자 하나님으로서가 아니라, 고난 가운데 계시는 연약한 그리스도 개념으로 이 땅의 고통과 고난 속으로 들어가라고 말한다.
