The purpose of this study is to reveal the theological and practical meaning of image as an aesthetic existence for visio divina. For this, this paper focuses on the necessity for aesthetic dynamics of truth that goes beyond the narrow perspective that confines the Bible and Christian stories to rational logic and approaches the mode of truth three-dimensionally. It suggests that the way the Bible constructs truth is revealed not only through literal or logical language, but also through aesthetic language. In particular, it emphasizes the importance of a straightforward understanding of the Bible and Christian stories through text, as well as aesthetic art interpreted through metaphors and symbols. In order to reveal the importance of images as aesthetic existence, it is argued that the prohibition on images in the Ten Commandments is not originally related to art in a general sense. What is important is that the representation of humans in the image of God is related to the duties and responsibilities of humans building the world, that is, the life of creating cities, houses, and works of art. It is also revealed that Jesus did not reveal himself only through written words, but also revealed himself through concrete images through the incarnation. It is emphasized that we must be able to see and experience the Bible and Jesus with our eyes, not just with our ears. Although the church tends to view the experience of God through works of art such as icons and sacred images negatively, the main purpose of these works of art is to visually express and convey the stories and characters of the Bible. Furthermore, it suggests that not only the written Bible but also works of art created by people are related to the grace of the Holy Spirit. Through these discussions, the importance of spiritual practice and experience through images is emphasized. Therefore, it suggests that it is important not only to experience God through the Bible, but also to experience God through works of art such as icons and sacred images. This paper reveals that prayer can be prayed not only through the language of sound, but also through artistic language or text. In particular, it is suggested that one can pray by drawing a picture or creating an image based on what one realizes while reading the Bible and meditating. It is revealed that prayer can be done not only with voice, but also with hands and sight. It emphasizes that we need to learn to pray more richly and dynamically through various images. With this emphasis, the steps of visio divina as visio, meditatio, oratio, contemplatio, operatio through image is presented.

본 논문은 비시오 디비나(visio divina)를 위한 심미적 실존으로서 형상(image)의 신학적, 실천적 의미를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 성경과 기독교 이야기를 이 성적 논리에 가두는 편협한 관점을 넘어 진리의 양식에 입체적으로 다가가는 미학적 진리의 역학의 필요성에 초점을 두고 논한다. 성경이 진리를 구성하는 방식은 단지 문자나 논리적인 언어만이 아니라 심미적 언어를 통해서도 드러낸다는 것을 제시한 다. 특히 성경과 기독교의 이야기에 대한 문자를 통한 직설적 이해와 동시에 은유와 상징으로 해석된 심미적 예술의 중요성을 역설한다. 심미적 실존으로서 형상의 중요성을 밝히기 위해 십계명의 형상 금지 조항은 본래 일반적 의미에서 예술과 연관된 것이 아니라는 것을 논한다. 중요한 것은 인간을 하 나님의 형상으로 표현한 것은 인간이 세상을 건설하는 의무와 책무, 즉 도시, 집, 예 술 작품을 창조하는 삶과 관계된다는 것을 밝힌다. 나아가 예수님도 글로 된 문자로 만 자신을 드러내지 않고, 성육신을 통해 구체적인 형상을 통해 드러내셨다는 것을 밝힌다. 우리는 성경과 예수님을 귀로만이 아니라 눈으로도 보고 경험할 수 있어야 한다는 것을 강조한다. 교회는 성화와 성상과 같은 예술 작품을 통해 하나님을 경험하는 것을 부정적으로 여기는 경향이 있지만, 이러한 예술 작품의 주요 목적은 성경 의 이야기와 인물을 시각적으로 표현하고 전달하기 위한 것임을 밝힌다. 나아가 문자 로 기록된 된 성경뿐 아니라 사람들에 의해 만들어진 예술 작품도 성령의 은총과 관 계된다는 것을 제시한다. 이러한 논의를 통해 형상을 통한 영적 실천과 경험의 중요 성을 역설한다. 따라서 성경을 통한 하나님 경험뿐 아니라 성화와 성상과 같은 예술 작품을 통한 하나님 경험도 중요하다는 것을 제안한다. 본 논문은 기도는 소리의 언어만이 아니라 예술적 언어나 텍스트를 통해서도 기도 할 수 있다는 것을 밝힌다. 특히 성경을 읽고 묵상을 하며 깨달은 것을 토대로 그림 을 그리거나 형상을 만드는 방식으로 기도할 수 있다는 것을 제안한다. 기도는 음성 으로만 할 수 있는 것이 아니라 손과 시각으로도 할 수 있다는 것을 밝힌다. 우리는 다양한 형상을 통해 더 풍성하고 역동적으로 기도하는 법을 배울 필요가 있다는 것을 강조한다. 이러한 강조와 함께 형상을 통한 비시오 디비나, 즉 비시오(visio), 메디타시 오(meditatio), 오라시오(oratio), 콘템플라시오(contemplatio), 오페라시오(operatio)의 실천 방안을 제시한다.
