Recently, research in the field of SME growth has shown that the patent office can influence the growth of SMEs through intellectual property support. This study analyzes the impact on the growth of SMEs depending on whether or not they have acquired intellectual property management certification to certify them as intellectual property management companies, and examines the effectiveness of implementing the intellectual property management certification system. is focused on. In order to achieve the research objectives of this study, we established two hypotheses and targeted 148 small and medium-sized enterprises selected for the regional global IP star company development project.Companies that obtained intellectual property management certification through intellectual property consulting. We conducted an empirical analysis of the differences in management results and intellectual property characteristics between companies and companies that have not acquired the certification. The analysis results show that among global IP star companies, companies that have acquired intellectual property management certification have a positive (+) increase in business results such as sales, exports, and number of employees compared to companies that have not acquired intellectual property management certification. It was confirmed that there is a (+) influence of politics on the increase in the number of overseas IP applications, which is an intellectual property result. In other words, the intellectual property management certification system has a positive (+) impact on the management results and intellectual property results of global IP star companies. It was recommended that policies to expand star company development projects and intellectual property management certification systems are needed.

최근 중소기업 성장 분야의 연구들은 특허청의 지식재산 지원을 통해 중소기업 성장에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 보여주고 있다. 본 연구는 중 소기업이 지식재산 경영기업으로 인증을 위한 지식재산 경영인증 취득 여부에 따라 중소기업 성장에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 지식재산 경영 인증 제도의 시행효과를 검증하는데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 연구의 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 2개의 가설을 수립하였고 지역 글로벌IP스타 기업 육성사업에 선정된 148개 중소기업을 대상으로 지식재산 컨설팅을 통한 지식재산 경영인증을 취득한 기업과 미취득한 기업 간의 지식재 산성과와 경영성과 간의 차이에 대해 실증분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과, 글로벌IP스타기업 중 지식재산 경영인증을 취득한 기업은 지식재산 경영인증 미취득 기업에 비해 지식재산성과인 해외 IP출원수 증가에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였고, 경영성과인 매출액, 수출액, 종 업원수 증가에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 즉, 지식재산 경영인증 제도는 글로벌IP스타기업의 지식재산성과와 경영성과에 정(+) 의 영향이 있으므로 지역 중소기업이 더 많은 수혜를 받을 수 있도록 글로벌IP스타기업 육성사업과 지식재산 경영인증 제도의 확대 정책이 필 요함을 제언하였다.
