The Purpose of this study is to develop a diagnostic tool for assessing fashion design competencies and to check its validity in order to systematically manage the outcomes of a competency-based fashion design major curriculum. We developed a diagnostic tool for fahion design majors and conducted assessments on 66 studenst enrolled in the fashion design major at K University in 2022. To validate the diagnostic tool, descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, conformatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted. The research findings are as follows: First, a total of four major competencies(fashion design competency, fashion production competency, fashion merchandising competency, and fashion fabric development competency) and a total of 18 diagnostic items were derived from a content validity analysis by fashion design and educational experts. Second, construct validity was deemed appropriate according to the confirmatory factor analysis results, with RMSEA=0.78, TLI=0.909, and standardized coefficients of each item above 0.05. Third, the reliability of all 18 items was very high at 0.92, and the reliability values for each major competency were above 0.777. This study provides foundational data for establishing a competency-based education curriculum in fashion design.

이 연구는 역량기반 패션디자인 전공 교육과정의 성과를 체계적으로 관리하기 위하여, 패션디자인 전공역량 진단도구를 개발하고 그 타당도를 점검하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 패션디자인 전공역량 진단도구를 개발하고, 2022학 년도 K대학교 패션디자인전공 계열 재학생 66명을 대상으로 진단을 시행하였다. 측정 도구의 타당성 검증을 위하여 재학생 진단결과를 바탕으로 기술통계분석, 빈도분석, 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계 분석 등을 시행하였 다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 패션디자인전공 및 교육학 전문가 패널의 내용타당도 분석을 통하여, 총 4개의 전공역량(패션디 자인역량, 패션제품설계역량, 패션기획역량, 패션소재개발역량), 총 18개의 진단문항을 도출하였다. 둘째, 확인적 요 인분석결과, RMSEA=.780, TLI=.909, 각 문항의 표준화계수 .05이상으로, 구성타당도는 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 셋 째, 전체 18개 문항의 신뢰도는 .920로 매우 높게 나타났으며, 각 전공역량 신뢰도 값은 .777 이상으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 패션디자인 전공역량 기반 교육과정 환류체계를 구축하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하였다는 데 그 의의가 있다.
