Sustainable tourism acknowledges the imperative to strike a balance between meeting present demands and ensuring the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. While tourism brings economic benefits, it also poses environmental and social challenges to the host communities. Sustainable tourism seeks to mitigate these negative impacts and foster positive outcomes by integrating environmental protection, social inclusion, and economic viability. This study examines how resorts in Puerto Galera, Philippines, are approaching sustainable tourism. This study aims to fill this gap by conducting a comprehensive examination of resort business operations in Puerto Galera, focusing on their practices toward sustainable tourism. By profiling respondents and resorts, identifying current practices, and analyzing barriers to sustainability, this research seeks to provide insights for policymakers, stakeholders, and academia. Understanding the dynamics of sustainable tourism in Puerto Galera is crucial for preserving its natural resources and ensuring long-term socio-economic benefits for the region.
