초록
영어
Purpose : This study aimed to explore the relationship between clinical nurses' knowledge, attitudes, risk perception towards COVID-19, and their infection prevention behaviors. Methods : The study involved nurses working in three general hospitals in B Metropolitan City. The data were collected through an online survey from November 21 to December 4, 2023, and analyzed using SPSS/WIN 26.0. Results : The study found that nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and risk perceptions of COVID-19 were significantly correlated with their infection prevention behaviors. Factors influencing infection prevention behaviors included COVID-19 related knowledge, attitudes, risk perception, age, and gender, explaining 51% of the variance in behaviors. Conclusion : Developing specialized educational programs to enhance COVID-19 knowledge, positive attitudes, and amplifying risk perception is crucial for improving infection control practices among nurses. Furthermore, organizational efforts to cultivate a supportive environment and offer equitable compensation to nurses engaged in managing infectious diseases are strongly recommended.
