The aim of this paper is to propose principles for and ways of using ChatGPT in writing education for students in the discipline in which they are majoring. The analysis target is a learner’s writing task on “The Results and Implications of Using ChatGPT” calculated from “the Korean phonology” of the University of Education. First, the educational implications of the task were defined in detail and shared with learners. The actual usage method of learners and the expansion process were then analyzed. Instructors and learners in the subject also discussed whether ChatGPT can be used to develop thinking skills for writing in their discipline. I note that the goal of using ChatGPT for major writing is essentially subordinate to the goal of major writing education, which internalizes the knowledge structures and creates meaningful knowledge. I also note that learning the structures of knowledge means learning ‘ways of acting,’ ‘ways of knowing,’ and ‘ways of thinking,’ which are applied to major writing education using ChatGPT. In addition, I discuss the importance of education that leads learners to develop their thinking skills by recognizing the content of their perception of the use of ChatGPT as ‘realized’ and using it as an opportunity to discover the ‘potential’ it implies. I also emphasize the importance of finding ways to expand the system that can enhance this thinking ability.

이 논문의 목적은 전공글쓰기 교육에서 ChatGPT 활용의 원칙과 방안을 제안하는 데 있다. 이 논문의 분석 대상은 사범대학교의 국어음운론에서 산출한 ‘ChatGPT 활용 결과 및 시사점’에 대한 학습자 글쓰기 과제이다. 먼 저 과제 상세화 과정 및 학습자 공유 과정의 교육적 함의를 확인하고, 학 습자들의 실제 활용 방식과 그 확장 과정을 분석, 이를 바탕으로 해당 과 목의 교수자와 학습자가 새로운 기술을 활용해 전공글쓰기를 위한 사고 능력 신장을 이끌어 낼 수 있는가에 대하여 논의하였다. 이 논문에서는 전공글쓰기를 위한 ChatGPT를 활용의 목표가 본질적으 로 지식의 구조를 내재화하고 유의미한 지식을 창출한다는 전공글쓰기 교육 목표의 하위에 있다는 점에 주목하였다. 또 지식의 구조를 배운다는 것이 앎의 방식, 행동의 방식 사고의 방식을 배운다는 것이며, 이는 ChatGPT를 활용한 전공글쓰기 교육에서도 일관되게 적용된다는 점에 주목 하였다. 또 학습자들의 ChatGPT를 활용에 대한 인식의 내용을 ‘실현된 것 (실현태)’로 인식하고 그것이 함의하는 ‘잠재된 것(잠재태)’을 발견하는 계 기로 삼아 사고능력을 신장할 수 있는 과정이 될 수 있도록 이끄는 교육 의 중요성을 논의하였다. 또 이러한 사고능력을 신장할 수 있는 시스템 확장의 방안을 모색하는 것의 중요성을 강조하였다.
