This study aims to help Italian learners of Korean understand terms of address and use them appropriately in different contexts. Korean terms of address vary in types and expressions, and many factors must be considered when using them. Particularly, as such terms include cultural characteristics, using them correctly in situations is difficult without a good understanding of these characteristics. By comparison, Italian terms of address are relatively simple and clear with respect to their organization and usage. Therefore, this study examines the types and characteristics of terms of address in each language and suggests areas to focus on in Korean language education to help Italian learners better understand Korean terms of address as they may face difficulties due to differences from their native language.

본 연구는 이탈리아 한국어 학습자들이 한국어 호칭어를 잘 이해하고 상황에 맞게 호칭어를 적절하게 사용할 수 있도록 하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 한국어 호칭어는 유형과 표현 형태가 다양하며 호칭어를 사용할 때 고려해야 할 요소들도 많다. 특히 한국 문화적 특성이 포함되어 있 기 때문에 이러한 특성을 잘 이해하지 못하면 상황에 맞게 호칭어를 올바르게 사용하기 어렵다. 반면 이탈리아어 호칭어는 호칭어의 체계 와 사용 양상이 한국어에 비해서 비교적 간단하고 명확하다. 따라서 이탈리아 한국어 학습자들이 모국어와의 차이로 인해 한국어 호칭어 사용에 어려움이 있을 것으로 보고 본 연구에서는 이탈리아 한국어 학 습자들이 한국어 호칭어를 잘 이해할 수 있도록 이탈리아어와 한국어 호칭어의 유형과 특징을 살펴보고 이것을 바탕으로 한국어 교육에서 중점을 두어야 할 부분을 제시하였다.
