The purpose of this study is to study the transmission and characteristics of Daegu Salpuri Dance. The research method was analyzed using literature research methods and Internet data. The conclusion is as follows. First, the Daegu Salpuri dance has a clear genealogy, and it especially inherits the Salpuri dance in the Yeongnam region. Second, the dance of the Daegu Salpuri Dance shows a rugged form of beauty, and the style of spraying, throwing, and winding white silk towels, the symbol of Salpuri, can only be seen in the Daegu Salpuri Dance. Third, the characteristic of the Daegu Salpuri dance appears as Gopuli, a characteristic movement that cannot be seen in other Salpuri dances. Gopuri is a dance movement applied to Gopuli performed in shamanism, which uses a towel to hang and loosen the cloth and rotate in a circle by moving the dance board greatly in Yeonpungdae, which also expresses a dance that relieves flesh in the body, showing a remarkable characteristic of shamanism.

본 연구는 대구 살풀이춤의 전승 및 특징에 관하여 연구 하는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 문헌연구방법과 인터넷 자료를 활용하여 분석하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대구 살풀이춤 은 그 전승 계보가 뚜렷하고, 특히 영남지방의 살풀이 춤사위를 잘 계승하고 있다. 둘째, 대구 살풀이춤의 춤사위는 투박한 미의 형태를 보여주고 있으며 살풀이의 상징인 흰 명주 수건을 뿌 리고 던지고 휘감는 멋은 대구 살풀이춤에서만 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 대구 살풀이춤의 특징은 다른 살풀이춤에서 볼 수 없는 특징적인 동작인 고풀이로 나타난다. 고풀이는 무속에서 행해지는 고 풀이에서 응용된 춤 동작으로서 수건을 이용하여 고를 매었다가 푸는 동작과 연풍대에서 춤판 을 크게 이동하여 신체에 고를 매는 형식으로 원을 그리듯이 회전하는 동작인데 이것 역시 몸 안에 살을 풀어내는 춤사위를 표현한 것으로서 무속적 특징이 두드러진 경향을 보이고 있다.
