As major players in the global economy, Korean firms or enterprises have been playing a pivotal role in the international business arena. Their achievements in technological innovation, market expansion, and organizational management have attracted widespread attention. Chinese academics have been endeavoring to study multiple aspects of Korean corporations in-depth to analyze their successes and challenges. The purpose of this review is to systematize the current state of research on Korean firms and China-South Korea corporations in Chinese academia, to explore the characteristics and shortcomings of the existing research, and to explore the areas of concern for corporations. The article takes 78 Korean corporation research papers published in CSSCI journals in the China Knowledge Network database almost 2 decades as a sample and uses the content analysis method to analyze the research papers. These sample literature are systematically analyzed and sorted out in terms of publication year distribution, source journals, authors, funded status of the papers, keywords, specific research areas, and research methods. The results show that Chinese academics' research on Korean firms and Sino-Korean corporations has been sharply increased and slightly declined recently in a general sense. In terms of areas of interest, corporate governance, investment, and organizational culture has gained sizable attention; however, more rigorous academic efforts will be recommended. On the other hand, relatively few studies on inter-firm cooperation, corporate policy, and legal environment have been conducted. The research method is mostly qualitative research, and the authors believe that more interdisciplinary efforts and theory-based empirical research seem to be required.

글로벌 경제에서 대한민국의 국제적 위상이 제고되고 있다. 특정 국가에서의 거시 경제의 핵심 축인 기업들도 국제 비즈니스 분야에서 중요한 역할을 수행해 오고 있다. 특히, 중국과 한국은 경제적으로 밀접하게 연계되어 있다고 할 수 있다. 한국의 기업들 은 기술 혁신, 시장 개척 및 조직 관리에서의 성과는 학술적으로나 산업분야를 막론하 고 지대한 관심을 얻고 있다. 한편, 중국은 학문적으로 한국 기업들의 특징, 성공요인과 제반 경영환경에 대한 다각도의 심층적 분석과 연구를 진행해 오고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 중국 학계에서 한국 기업과 한중 기업 간의 연구와 관련하여 어떤 연구를 수행 해 오고 있는지를 종합적으로 이해하는 것이다. 즉, 중국 연구자들이 한국기업에 관련 된 연구 수행과 관련된 연구 주제, 연구방법론, 목적, 저자들의 학문적 기반 등에 대한 객관적이고 종합적으로 이해하고자 한다. 본 논문은 중국 지식 네트워크 데이터베이스의 CSSCI 저널에 거의 20년 동안 발표된 78편의 한국 기업 연구 논문 샘플을 대상으로 기본적으로 체계적인 내용 분석 방법을 사용하여 연구 논문을 분석한다. 이 문헌들은 발표 연도 분포, 출처 저널, 저자, 논문의 연구비 지원 여부, 키워드, 보다 구체적 연구 영역 및 연구 방법 측면에서 체계적으로 분석되고 분류된다. 분석 결과는 중국 학계의 한국 기업 및 한중 기업 연구가 급격히 증가했다가 최근 약간 감소하고 있음을 보여 주고 있다. 연구자들의 핵심 관심 영역이나 분야를 살펴보 면, 기업 거버넌스, 투자 및 조직 문화가 지대한 연구가 수행되고 온 사실을 알 수 있으 나 향후 학문적으로 더욱 엄격한 방법론을 고려한 학술적 접근이 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 한편, 기업 간 협력, 기업 정책 및 법적 환경에 대한 연구는 상대적으로 많이 이뤄지 지 않는 점이 발견되었다. 특징적으로 연구 방법은 주로 질적 연구인 점이며 이런 측면 에서 보다 실증적인 연구도 요구된다. 또한 점진적으로 더 적극적인 학제 간 노력과 이론 기반의 연구가 중요하다고 판단된다.
