This study was conducted to analyze the effects and behavioral changes of teeth brushing method education in patients with cervical abrasion. The study participants consisted of 21 individuals with cervical abrasion who visited dental clinics located in Gyeongnam. After conducting a survey, a 12-week toothbrushing method education program was implemented. Data analysis was performed using SPSS, and the results indicated an increase in the OHB index before and after the toothbrushing method education. Specifically, there was an increase in the timing and frequency of toothbrushing, as well as the intensity, direction, and usage rate of oral hygiene adjuncts. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the study results, it is believed that the willingness of patients visiting dental healthcare institutions to practice oral health is influenced by motivation and behavior changes induced by professionals. Therefore, it is important to raise awareness of oral care education among dental hygienists and to foster the willingness of patients to change their behaviors.

본 연구는 치경부 마모 환자의 칫솔질 방법 교육에 따른 효과 및 행동 변화를 분석하고자 시행하였다. 연 구방법은 준실험 연구이며, 연구 대상은 경남 소재 치과의료기관에 내원한 자 중 치경부 마모증이 있는 대상자 21 명이며, 설문조사 후 12주 동안의 칫솔질 방법 교육을 시행하였으며, 칫솔질 교육 후 설문지를 통하여 칫솔질 방 법의 행동 변화를 관찰하고자 하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS를 이용하여 실시하였으며 분석 결과 칫솔질 방법 교육 전과 후의 구강건강행동지수가 증가하였다. 특히 칫솔질 시기 및 횟수, 강도, 방향, 구강위생보조용품의 사용률이 증가하였다. 치과의료기관 내원 대상자들의 구강 건강관리에 대한 행동 의지는 전문가에 의한 동기 유발 및 행동 변화가 중요하다고 판단되며, 치과위생사가 구강관리교육에 대한 중요성을 이해하고, 대상자의 행동 변화를 유도 할 수 있는 의지가 필요하다. 치경부 마모 환자를 대상으로 반복적인 칫솔질 방법을 통해 행동 변화를 유도함으로 써 자가 구강 건강관리가 될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
