Through the Hongjae Diary of Gi Haenghyeon, an understanding of the situation in the Buan area during the first uprising of the Donghak Peasant Revolution has already been made. However, in order to specify the Baeksan Convention as March 26, a sufficient comparative review with the existing feed must be made. Therefore, in this article, we additionally reviewed historical records such as O-Ha-Ki-Moon and Soo-Rok to reconstruct the activities of Donghak Peasant Army before and after the Baeksan Convention in March 1894. On March 24, 1894, the main force of the Donghak Peasant Army, centered on Jeon Bongjun, took over the military flag in Gobu and burned the gunpowder store. Next, around the afternoon of the same day, they went on a road between the northwest of Gobu. They are believed to have gathered at Gobu Malmok. According to the Hongjae Diary, they appear to have moved to Baeksan on March 26. The unit that had lunch in Taein and camped in Wonpyeong on March 25 was the Kim Gaenam unit. In fact, Kim Gaenam's base was Taein. It is unlikely that the main Donghak Peasant Army, which was stationed in Malmok, Gobu, at least around the afternoon of March 24, entered Taein on March 25, advanced to Geumgu Wonpyeong, and returned to Baeksan on March 26.

奇幸鉉의 『鴻齋日記』를 통하여 동학농민혁명 제1차 봉기 당시 扶安 지역의 상황에 대한 이해는 이미 이루어진 바 있다. 다만 白山大會를 3월 26일로 특정 하기 위해서는 기존 활용했던 사료와의 충분한 비교 검토가 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 이 글에서는 『梧下記聞』, 『隨錄』 등의 사료를 추가적으로 검토하여 1894 년 3월 백산대회를 전후한 시기 동학농민군의 행적을 재구하고자 하였다. 1894년 3월 24일 全琫準을 중심으로 한 동학농민군 주력은 古阜邑에서 軍器 庫를 탈취하고 火藥庫를 불태웠다. 다음으로 같은 날 오후 무렵 고부군의 서북 쪽 사이에 난 길로 나아갔다. 이들은 古阜 馬項(말목)에 모인 것으로 추정된다. 『鴻齋日記』에 따르면 이들은 적어도 3월 26일 백산으로 진영을 옮긴 것으로 보 인다. 3월 25일 泰仁에서 점심을 먹고 院坪에서 숙영한 부대는 金開南 부대다. 실 제로 김개남의 근거지는 태인이었다. 적어도 3월 24일 오후 무렵에서야 고부 말 목에 주둔하였던 동학농민군 주력이 3월 25일 태인으로 들어가고, 금구 원평까 지 진출하였다가 3월 26일 백산으로 되돌아왔을 가능성은 거의 없다.
