In this study, research questions on the educational use of webtoons in the Christian educational field were investigated, and meta-analysis was conducted focusing on papers studied on the educational use of webtoons. First, it can be seen that the educational use of webtoons is used in various subjects and classes. Analysis of previous studies shows that it is effective in teaching Bible subjects, receptive use in teaching Christian values and worldviews, and application of Christian education programs in the possibility of educational use of webtoons in Christian education. Second, the educational uses of webtoons analyzed in this study suggest the possibility of being used and applied in the Christian educational field, as materials, as edcontent, as digital convergence media, and as a means of the work. Finally, it can be found that there is not much research on webtoons in Christianity and Christian education. The importance and meaning of this study can be found in the fact that no research has been conducted on the educational use of webtoons in Christian education. It is highly recommended to use webtoons as a educational media to provide various educational experiences through convergence with digital media and to accept the meaning of Christian worldviews and values through works.

본 연구에선 웹툰의 교육적 활용에 관한 메타분석을 실시함으로 기독교교육현장에 적용할 수 있는 다양한 활용방안에 관한 미래적 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 사회각 계에서 웹툰에 대한 관심이 집중되는 시대적 조류에 맞추어, 기독교교육현장에서 적 용할 수 있는 웹툰의 교육적 활용에 관한 학문적 연구를 진행하였다. 본 연구는 그 동안 엔터테인먼트로서의 기능으로 웹툰의 흥미위주의 기능이 두각 되고 있었으나 이 와는 다른 순기능으로서 교육적 활용가능성에 대해 메타분석을 중심으로 탐구하였다. 본 연구는 웹툰을 기독교교육현장에서 적용할 수 있는 교육적 활용가능성을 탐구하기 위하여 이론적, 실천적 방법으로 접근하였다. 웹툰의 교육적 활용은 다양한 교과목과 수업에서 활용되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 웹툰의 교육적 활용에 관해 연구된 논문들의 연구주제의 영역을 종합적으로 분석해보면, 기독교교육에서 웹툰의 교육적 활용에 가 능성에 있어 성경교과를 가르치는 일이나 기독교적 가치관 및 세계관을 가르치는 것 에 있어서의 수용적 활용, 기독교교육 프로그램의 적용에 따른 활용에 있어서도 효과 적임을 선행 연구들의 분석을 통하여 알 수 있다. 기독교교육에서 웹툰의 교육적 활 용에 관한 연구는 한편도 진행되지 않았다는 사실에서 본 연구의 중요성과 의미를 찾을 수 있다. 기독교교육현장에서 웹툰의 활용을 위하여 교육자료로서 활용하는 다양 한 시도들이 필요하고, 교육 컨텐츠로서의 활용할 수 있도록 성경과 관련한 다양한 웹툰들이 창작되어야 한다. 또한 VR 또는 AR 등의 디지털 매체들과의 융합을 통한 다양한 교육적 경험을 제공하고, 작품을 통한 기독교적 세계관과 가치관의 의미 수용 하기 위한 매체로서 웹툰의 활용을 적극 추천한다.
