The purpose of this study is to examine the psychological healing process through family loss trauma and sacrifice rituals shown in the movie and compare it with the rituals of the Old Testament era. First, we explore the psychological healing process in which the main character in the film experiences mass violence and human sacrifice by joining a new tribal community, and symbolically overcomes the trauma of losing his family in the process. The direction of the study is to first focus on understanding how the trauma of family loss and the resulting psychological healing process progress through the concept of sacrificial rituals and comparing rituals. The sacrificial ritual involves violence and has a definite purpose. We will look at human sacrifice, which is considered the most impersonal among sacrifices, and compare it with the rituals of the Old Testament era. deals with the complex emotions and trauma of family loss through contrasting visual expressions and spatial movement. This paper theoretically analyzes the content of the film, which symbolically represent the psychological healing process of family loss trauma through sacrifice rituals, and examines the protagonist's psychological recovery process through this. At the same time, when compared to the rituals of the Old Testament era, we can finally think of Jesus Christ, the most representative sacrificial lamb. We would like to conclude that the pure sacrifice of Jesus was an absolute, typical death of love and salvation that can not be compared to the rituals of the Old Testament, and that sacrifice ultimately achieved the cycle of life. In contrast to the ending of the protagonist who goes through a psychological healing process through a sacrificial ritual and becomes a queen, Jesus, who became the king, became a victim himself and saved all mankind.

본 연구의 목적은 영화 <미드소마(Midsommar, 2019)에 나타난 가족 상실 트라우 마와 희생제의를 통한 심리치유 과정을 살펴보고 이를 구약시대 제의와 비교해 보고 자 한다. 먼저 영화 속 주인공이 새로운 부족 공동체에 합류함으로써 집단 폭력과 인 신 제의를 경험하고 그 과정에서 가족 상실 트라우마를 상징적으로 극복해가는 과정 을 탐구한다. 연구의 방향은 먼저 희생제의의 개념을 통해 가족 상실 트라우마와 그 에 따른 심리적 치유과정이 어떻게 진행되는지 이해하는 것이나 제의를 비교하는 것 에 방점을 찍고자 한다. 희생제의는 폭력을 수반하며 확실한 목적성을 가지고 있다. 희생제의 가운데서도 가장 비인격적이라 볼 수 있는 인신 제사를 살펴보고 제의 간 비교를 시도할 것이다. <미드소마(Midsommar, 2019)는 대조적 시각 표현과 공간 이 동을 통해 가족 상실의 복잡한 감정과 트라우마를 다룬다. 이 논문은 희생제의를 통한 가족 상실 트라우마의 심리적 치유과정을 상징적으로 나타내는 영화 내용에 대한 분석을 이론으로 규명하고, 이를 통해 주인공의 심리회복 과정을 살펴본다. 동시에 구 약시대 제의와 비교했을 때 비로소 가장 대표적 희생양인 예수 그리스도를 떠올릴 수 있다. 순전한 예수의 희생은 구약의 제의와는 비교 불가한 절대적, 전형적인 사랑과 구원의 죽음이었고, 그 희생이 생명의 순환을 궁극적으로 이루었다고 결론 내리고자 한다. 희생제의로 심리치유 과정을 통과하고 여왕이 되는 주인공의 결말과 대조적으로 왕 되신 예수는 스스로 희생자가 되어 전 인류를 구원하셨다.
