The perspective of this thesis is syntax in syntactics. Through the structural analysis of the sentences containing ‘bu’in the Chinese translation of the Bible⋅Proverbs, the sentence pattern characteristics of the Bible⋅Proverbs are summarized, so as to have a deeper understanding of the stylistic characteristics of the Bible⋅Proverbs. Research scope: Chinese translations of the Bible, Modern Chinese Translation, published in 1979. Modern Chinese Translation consists of the Old Testament and the New Testament. In Book 39 of the Old Testament, we chose Book 20 ofProverbs as the specific object of this study. Research procedure: first, the history of Chinese translation of the Bible and the basic theories are combed. Second, to find out the sentence patterns of negative word ‘bu’used with verbs in Proverbs, and make statistics and sort them out. Thirdly, an in-depth structural analysis of the sentence pattern of ‘not +V’is carried out. Research value: have a deeper understanding of the stylistic features of the Bible. It makes a positive contribution to the study of Chinese ontology and the recitation of the Bible, and also provides a basis for the programming of the Bible corpus.
