The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend in research on non-professional employment Visa (E-9) foreign workers engaged in employment activities in Korea and base on this analysis, the study aims to provide insights for future follow-up research. To this end, the publication year, publishing agency, research topic and subject word, and research method of 42 papers published in domestic journals from 2008 to november 2023 were analyzed, and the results of the study are as follows. First, research exclusively targeting on non-professional employment visa (E-9) foreign workers was examined starting with the employment permit system in 2004, but the number of research could be found from 2008, and the number of studies increased rapidly in 2019. Second, from the fact that it has been published in a total of 31 academic journals, it can be seen that various issuing institutions are paying attention. Third, in the keyword section, among the 198 research keywords, ‘foreign workers’ appeared the most frequently, followed by ‘employment permit system’, ‘migrant workers’, ‘cultural adaptation’ and so on, in that order. And the research topics found to be predominantly related to studies on labor force introduction and employment policies. Fourth, literature research was found to be the most common research method. Based on these results, the necessity of health and human rights research through qualitative research on non-professional employment visa (E-9) foreign workers in the future and quantitative research to secure the overall current situation and needs of Korean language education were presented.

이 연구의 목적은 한국에서 취업 활동을 하고 있는 비전문취업(E-9)외국인근로자 연구의 동향을 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 향후 후속 연구의 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 이 를 위해 2008년부터 2023년 11월까지 국내 학술지에 게재된 42편의 논문의 발간연도, 발행기관, 연구주제 및 주제어, 연구방법을 분석하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 비전문취업(E-9)외국인근로자 만을 대상으로 한 연구는 2004년 고용허가제를 기점 으로 살펴보았으나 2008년부터 연구를 찾을 수 있었으며, 2019년에 들어 연구 편수가 급증하였다. 둘째, 총 31개의 학술지에 게재가 된 점을 미루어 볼 때 다양한 발행기관 에서 관심을 기울이고 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 주제어 부분은 연구대상 논문 주제어 198개 중 ‘외국인근로자’가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 다음으로 ‘고용허가제’, ‘이주노동자’, ‘문화적응’ 등의 순으로 나타났다. 그리고 연구주제는 인력도입 및 고용정책 관련 연구 가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 연구방법으로는 문헌연구가 가장 많은 것으로 나 타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 향후 비전문취업(E-9)외국인근로자에 대한 깊이 있는 탐색을 위한 질적연구와 이들의 기본적인 권리 보장을 위한 인권과 건강 관련 연구 그 리고 한국어 교육의 전반적인 현황 및 요구 확보를 위한 양적연구의 필요성을 제시하 였다.
