This study aims to understand the full extent of the academic debate that unfolded during the Songming(宋明) period, which appeared in both 『Song- yuanxuean(宋元學案)』 and 『Mingruxuean(明儒學案)』. This is a work to examine the academic content that scholars during the Songming period were interested in and debated among the 『Songyuanxuean』 and 『Mingruxuean』. In the academic history, the debates developed during the Songming period are very diverse and their contents are also abundant. Huang zong-xi(黃宗羲) analyzes and critiques the contents of these debates one by one with his own perspective through 『Songyuanxuean』 and 『Mingruxuean』. He takes a relatively objective attitude in analyzing and criticizing each debate, but as a result, he defended one side and criticized the other. Therefore, this study aims to objectively reevaluate Huang zong-xi's perspective on Songming lixue(宋明理學)'s controversial topic through a review of the many errors in Huang zong-xi's analysis and criticism.

본 연구에서는 『송원학안』과 『명유학안』 양 학안에 나타난 송명 시기에 펼쳐진 학술 논쟁의 전모를 파악하고자 한다. 이는 양 학안 가운데 송명 시기 학자들이 관심을 가지고 논쟁을 펼쳤던 학술적인 내용에 대해 살펴보는 작업이다. 학술사적으로 볼 때, 송명 시기에 전개된 논쟁은 매우 다양하고, 그 내용 또한 풍부하다. 황종희는 이러한 논쟁의 내용을 양 학안을 통해 자신만의 관점을 가지고 하나하나 분석하고 평론하고 있다. 그는 각 논쟁에 대해 분석하고 평론함에 있어 비교적 객관적인 태도를 취하고 있으나, 결과적으로는 어느 한 편을 옹호하고 어느 한 편을 비판하는 결과를 초래하였다. 그러므로 본 연구는 이러한 황종희의 분석과 평론 내용에 보이는 적지 않은 오류에 대한 검토를 통해, 송명 이학의 논쟁 주제에 대한 황종희의 관점을 객관적으로 재평가하고자 한다.
