The number of foreign students at domestic higher education institutions exceeded 160,000 in 2022, and it is expected to continue to increase in the future in accordance with the government's active policy to attract foreign students. As the number of foreign students entering Korea increased, qualitative management of them became necessary, and the need for career education for foreign students increased as more foreign students wanted to stay in Korea and get a job even after their degree. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to analyze the needs of career education for foreign students attending domestic universities and provide basic data to prepare career education programs for foreign students at universities. To analyze the career education needs of foreign students, employment competency, Korean culture adaptation, and job preparation activities were adopted as survey tools, and a survey was conducted on foreign students attending University A. As a result of the study, first, when combining the results of the t-test, Borich demand, and The Locus for Focus Model for foreign students' employment competency, the priority of employment competency differed depending on the degree process. Second, while both bachelor's and master's and doctorate's understanding of Korean life culture was high, the use of Korean language showed a statistically significant difference between bachelor's and master's and doctor's. Third, in the job preparation activities of foreign students, academic background, Korean, and English ranked high in both bachelor's and master's degrees, and the most necessary thing for foreign students to find a job was to solve the visa problem. Finally, based on these research results, the academic and practical implications of this study were presented.

국내 고등교육기관의 외국인 유학생 수가 2022년에 16만 명을 넘어섰으며, 정부의 외국인 유학생에 대한 적극적인 유치 정책에 따라 앞으로도 지속적으로 늘어날 전망이다. 이처럼 국내로 유입되는 외국 인 유학생이 증가함에 따라 이들에 대한 질적 관리가 필요해졌으며, 외국인 유학생들이 학위 과정 이후 에도 국내에 잔류하여 취직하기 원하는 경우가 많아지면서 외국인 유학생의 진로교육에 대한 필요도 높아졌다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 대학에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생들을 대상으로 진로교육에 대한 요구를 분석하여, 대학의 외국인 유학생을 위한 진로교육 프로그램의 기초자료를 제공하는 것에 목적이 있다. 외국인 유학생의 진로교육 요구분석을 위해 구직역량, 한국문화적응, 취업준비활동을 조사도구로 채택 하여 A대학에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 외국인 유 학생의 학위과정별 구직역량에 대한 t-검정, Borich 요구도, The Locus for Focus Model 결과를 종합할 때, 학위과정에 따라 구직역량의 우선순위가 다르게 나타났다. 둘째, 외국인 유학생의 한국문화적응척 도는 학사 및 석·박사 모두 한국생활문화이해 항목이 높게 나타난 반면, 한국어활용은 학사와 석·박사 간의 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 외국인 유학생의 취업준비활동에서는 학사 및 석·박사 모두 학력, 한국어, 영어가 높은 순위를 차지했으며, 구직을 위해 외국인 유학생들에게 가장 필요한 것 은 비자문제해결로 나타났다. 마지막으로 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구의 학문적·실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.
