With the development of modern scientific civilization, c omputers and advanced communication technologies have gradually developed, and the creation of new industries h as brought about various changes in our lifestyles. The futuristic makeup of the 1960s, which emerged with spac e fashion as the opening of the space age due to the first moon landing, is the beginning of the modern meaning. In particular, it emerged in more diverse forms in the late 2000s, including the 1990s, which emerged as a desire an d longing for the new millennium Due to the ambiguity of the future, futuristic makeup is taking a more colorful approach than any other form of makeup. This study exa mined the occurrence and definition of futurism and the definition and development of makeup through prior rese arch and related literature for the theoretical background of futurism and makeup. The characteristics of futurism were selected through the analysis of paintings by repres entative artists of futurism, and nine makeup works were produced based on the selected characteristics. Through the analysis of prior research on futurism, dynamism, me chanical beauty, and experimental beauty were derived a s aesthetic characteristics of futurism, and using these ch aracteristics, a total of nine works were produced, three mechanical motifs, four experimental motifs, and two dyn amism motifs. Through this study, it is expected that the characteristics and artistic significance of the futuristic movement will be investigated, and active research as a modern and creative makeup design element will be cond ucted through the fusion of futuristic characteristics and art makeup design.

현대 과학 문명의 발전으로 컴퓨터와 첨단 통신기술이 점 차 발달 되었으며, 이에 따른 새로운 산업의 생성으로 인해 우리의 생활양식도 다양한 변화를 가져오게 되었다. 최초의 달 착륙으로 인한 우주 시대의 개막으로 스페이스 패션과 함 께 등장한 1960년대의 미래주의적 메이크업이 현대적인 의미 의 시초이다. 특히 새천년에 대한 염원과 갈망으로 등장한 19 90년대를 비롯하여 2000년대 후반에는 더 다양한 형태로 새 롭게 등장하였다. 미래에 관한 불분명함으로 미래주의적 메 이크업은 다른 어떤 형태의 메이크업 보다 다채로운 접근이 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 미래주의와 메이크업에 대한 이 론적 배경을 위해 선행 연구 및 관련문헌들을 통해 미래주의 의 발생과 정의 그리고 메이크업의 정의와 발전에 대해 고찰 하였다. 미래주의 대표 화가들의 그림 분석을 통해 미래주의 특성들을 선정하였고, 선정된 특성을 기반으로 9개의 메이크 업 작품을 제작하였다. 미래주의에 관한 선행 연구 분석을통 해 미래주의의 미적 특성으로 역동미, 기계미, 실험미를 도출 하였으며, 이러한 특성을 살려 기계성 모티브 작품 3개, 실험 성 모티브 작품 4개, 역동성 모티브2개 총9개의작품을제작 했다. 본 연구를 통해 미래주의 운동의 특징과 예술적 의의를 알아보고, 미래주의의 특성과 아트 메이크업 디자인의 융합 으로 현대적이고 창의적인 메이크업 디자인 요소로서의 추후 적극적인 연구가 수행되기를 기대한다.
