This paper analyzes the story materials contained in 『Seohaengnok』, a travel diary of three generations in the second half of the Joseon Dynasty, and reveals the possibility of making 『Seohaengnok』 into a cultural content. Chapter 2 examines the story material of 『Seohaengnok』 by dividing it into 'praising and honoring ancestors' and 'special anecdotes during travel'. Song Jeong-ak, Song Ji-haeng, and Song Seok-nyeon's reasons for traveling were often to praise and honor their ancestors. In relation to the purpose of the authors' trips, various narrative materials could be seen when they were soliciting writings, purchasing and transporting stones, and working on posthumous honors for their ancestors. The details of the authors' travels were described, such as the process of requesting to write several times, trying to buy stones and struggling with the refusal of the boatmen to load them, and trying to receive posthumous titles for their ancestors even when they were seriously ill. Special anecdotes about the details of the authors' travels can be the main material for cultural contents. 'Special anecdotes from their travels' include taking Gwageo(a prestigious civil official examination), watching the king's procession, and meeting their married daughters or sisters on the road. Next, Chapter 3 briefly summarizes three possibilities for making 『Seohaengnok』 into cultural content based on the story material. First, 『Seohaengnok』 can be utilized to produce media contents such as docudramas that convey historical facts to the public in an interesting way. Second, the story material of 『Seohaengnok』 can be utilized to create educational and tourism contents, such as animations that tell the history and culture of the Honam region. Third, 『Seohaengnok』 can provide ideas for movies, dramas, and webtoons set in the Joseon Dynasty.

본 논문에서는 조선후기 3대代의 기행일기인 『서행록』에 담긴 이야기 소재素材를 분석 하고, 『서행록』의 문화콘텐츠화 가능성을 밝혔다. 먼저 2장에서는 ‘선조先祖 현양顯揚을 위한 일’과 ‘여행 중의 특별한 일화’로 나누어, 『서행록』의 이야기 소재를 살펴보았다. 송정 악·송지행·송석년이 여행을 떠난 이유는 선조 현양을 위한 일인 경우가 많았다. 저자들 의 여행 목적과 관련하여 ‘글 부탁’, ‘석재石材 구입 및 이동’, ‘증시贈諡 관련 일’을 할 때의 다양한 이야기 소재를 볼 수 있었다. 몇 차례나 찾아가 글을 부탁하는 과정, 돌 구입 을 위해서 노력하고 뱃사람들이 돌 싣는 것을 거부해 애타는 상황, 몸이 심하게 아픈 상황 에서도 시호諡號 받는 일을 위해 노력한 일 등이 구체적으로 담겨 있었다. 저자들이 여행 하면서 겪은 세세한 일 중 특별한 일화는 그 자체가 문화콘텐츠의 주요 소재가 될 수 있다. ‘여행 중의 특별한 일화’로는 과거시험을 본 일, 임금의 행차를 구경한 일 등을 볼 수 있었고, 여행길에서 시집 간 딸이나 누이를 만나는 것을 생생하게 볼 수 있었다. 다음으로 3장에서는 이야기 소재를 바탕으로 『서행록』의 문화콘텐츠화 가능성을 세 가지로 간략히 정리하였다. 첫째, 『서행록』은 흥미롭게 역사적 사실을 대중들에게 전달하 는 다큐드라마 등 미디어 콘텐츠 제작에 활용할 수 있다. 둘째, 『서행록』의 이야기 소재는 호남지역의 역사와 문화를 알려주는 애니메이션 등 교육 및 관광 콘텐츠 제작에 활용할 수 있다. 셋째, 『서행록』은 조선시대를 배경으로 하는 영화, 드라마, 웹툰 등에 아이디어를 제공할 수 있다.
