During the Joseon Dynasty, the suburban area to the east of Hanyang City has the historical character of being an activity space for the King's parade and the lives of the common people. This place has been a residential space for the common people since ancient times, and the King's procession and National ceremonies overlapped, making it a place in the main road network. It was a place for Royal ceremonies and a commercial center for the people. Therefore, combining the transformation of the capital to the eastern suburbs with the performance of the dynasty's state rituals and the commercial activities of the common people would be a way to comprehensively illuminate the chronological aspects of the local space. Based on this perspective, this study examined the aspects of the Royal tomb road, focusing on the King's procession that took place on the suburban road to the east of Hanyang City, in connection with local residents. Through this, we hope that it will become the basis for research on the operation patterns of the suburban road network according to the King's parade during the Joseon Dynasty.

한양 도성 동부 교외 지역은 국왕의 행차와 민인들의 삶을 위한 활동 공간이었다는 역사적 성격을 구축하고 있다. 동부 교외 지역의 녹양과 누원 인근은 고대부터 민인들의 거주 공간이던 곳에 국왕의 행차와 국 가 의례가 중첩되어 간선 도로망의 하나로 정착된 곳이다. 왕실의 의례 거행 장소이었으며, 민인의 상업 중심지였다. 따라서 도성 동부 교외로의 변화상을 왕조 국가 의례의 설행과 민인 의 상업 활동에 접목시키는 것이 지역 공간의 연대기 양상을 총합적으 로 조명하는 방안이 될 것이다. 본고는 이러한 시각을 바탕으로 한양 도 성 동부 교외로에서 진행된 국왕의 행차를 중심으로 능행로 연변의 양 상들을 지역민과 연계시켜 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 조선시대 국왕의 행 행에 따른 교외 도로망의 운영 양상 연구의 기초가 되기를 기대한다.
