This reserach paper analyzes the patterns of diary compilation in a collection of writings by Yu Hwichun (1513-1577) titled Mi Am Diary (眉巖日記) and his anthology Mi Am Seonsaengjib (眉巖先生集) using textual and bibliographical methods. The contents of the diaries included in the anthology primarily consist of public articles related to official duties and writing activities. However, around 10 personal records, such as individual emotions and weather-related entries, were also included monthly. The editing style of the diaries in the anthology involves basic adjustments, aligning the content with the inclusion of characters and sentences. Subsequently, the revised article content is rearranged based on the importance of the content rather than the chronological order of the recorded time in the diary, structured as official duties, writing activities, and personal records. Finally, there is an approach that involves not editing the content recorded in the diaries but adding new information. This method allows for an examination of the changes in the editing process that occur when compiling an anthology.
