With the advancement of modern science came the energy of "neon" (fluorescence), which was used to produce a wide range of colors, from the glowing neon glow to the dynamic rainbow spectrum of the prism trend. With their intense light and mesmerizing, fantastical hues, fluorescent colors also influenced the realm of art, leading to the emergence of psychedelic art. Psychedelics were introduced in the 1960s by hippies who rebelled against established social customs and artists who supported the subculture. Hippies enjoyed psychedelic art as an aesthetic approach of freedom and liberation to experience the otherworldly and escape reality by stimulating human consciousness with light, color, and sound, including the dazzling visual impact of psychedelics as a way to resolve conflicts over the contradictions between reality and ideology. Psychedelic art has been applied to various fields with its psychedelic expression and abstract style through an intense feast of colors. This study aims to analyze the aesthetic and formative characteristics of how psychedelic characteristics are expressed in fashion show makeup that emphasizes the trends of the times, in order to provide inspiration for creative design ideas of fashion show makeup and explore the direction of development. The research methodology was to analyze the psychedelic trend in contemporary fashion show makeup by referring to previous studies, professional books, and websites related to fashion and makeup, and analyzing the data presented in global fashion collections. The results of the study showed that psychedelic makeup in fashion collections has aesthetic characteristics such as psychedelia, dynamism, playfulness, and abstraction, and sculptural characteristics such as color contrast of fluorescent colors, irregular and geometric patterns, and the use of objects made of experimental materials. By identifying the characteristics of the psychedelic makeup trend in fashion show makeup, which is a rapid reflection of socio-cultural trends, we aimed to provide new perspectives and image implementation directions for the development and research of future design trends in fashion show makeup.

현대 과학의 진보에 따라 ‘형광’이라는 에너지를 선 사 받았으며, 빛나는 네온 빛에서 프리즘 트렌드의 역 동적인 무지개 스펙트럼에 이르기까지 다채로운 컬러를 생성하며 사용되었다. 강렬한 빛과 매혹적이고 환상적 인 색채를 지닌 형광 컬러는 예술의 영역에도 영향을 미치게 되면서 사이키델릭 아트가 등장하게 되었다. 사이키델릭은 1960년대 기존 사회관습에 항거하는 히피들과 하위문화를 지지하는 예술가에 의해 도입되었다. 히피들은 기존의 틀에서 벗어나 현실과 이념의 불 일치에 대한 갈등의 해결 방안으로 환각에 의한 현란한 시각적 충격을 포함한 빛, 색채, 음향 등 인간 의식을 자극하면서 이상 세계의 경험과 현실 도피를 위한 자유 와 해방 정신의 미학적 접근으로 사이키델릭 아트를 향 유하였다. 사이키델릭 아트는 강렬한 색채의 향연에 의 한 환각적인 표현과 추상적인 스타일로 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시대적 트렌드를 중시하는 패션쇼 메 이크업에서 사이키델릭의 특성이 어떻게 표현되고 있는 지 미적 특성과 조형성을 분석하여 패션쇼 메이크업의 창의적인 디자인 발상에 영감을 제공하고 발전 방향을 모색하고자 한다. 연구방법은 현대 패션쇼 메이크업에 나타난 사이키 델릭 경향에 관한 연구문제를 수행하기 위해 선행연구 와 전문서적, 패션과 메이크업 관련 인터넷사이트를 중 심으로 세계적인 패션컬렉션에 나타난 자료를 참조하여 분석하였다. 연구의 결과, 패션컬렉션에 나타난 사이키 델릭 메이크업은 환각성, 역동성, 유희성, 추상성 등의 미적 특성과 형광 컬러의 색상 대비와 불규칙적이고 기 하학적인 문양과 실험적인 소재의 오브제 사용 등의 조 형적 특성으로 나타났다. 사회문화적 경향의 빠른 적용이 이루어지는 패션쇼 메이크업에서의 사이키델릭 메이크업 경향의 특성을 파 악하여 패션쇼 메이크업의 미래 디자인의 트렌드에 관 한 개발과 연구에 참신한 관점과 이미지 구현의 방향을 제시하고자 하였다.
