Objectives The purpose of this study was to analyze the main discourses of school physical education from a Foucauldian perspective and to explore aspects of the disciplinary and managerial societies that coexist between policy, teachers and students. Methods To this end, a literature review was conducted to analyze Foucault's writings and previous studies in sport pedagogy and sport sociology that can serve as a basis for Foucault's theory of governability. Results The health discourse on the body in the neoliberal era as disciplinary power and biopower, analyzed the aspects of the disciplinary society and management society in regular physical education classes, and analyzed the process by which Foucault's self-improvement theory became the dominant discourse. By categorizing the disciplinary power and biopower in the school health physical assessment (PAPS) into ‘prescription, information disclosure, and evaluation process’, the researcher presented a crisis discourse through long-term patient discourse, and interpreted the neoliberal logic in school sports clubs through physical discipline and education discourse. Conclusions The performance of school sports in discourses unrelated to the nature of sports should be reoriented to the educational direction of physical activity.

본 연구의 목적은 푸코의 시선에서 학교체육의 주요 담론을 해석하고 정책과 교사, 학생 사이에 공존 하는 규율사회와 관리사회의 양상을 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 푸코의 저서와 그의 통치성 이론의 근 거가 될 수 있는 스포츠교육학 및 스포츠사회학 선행연구들을 분석하는 문헌연구를 수행하였다. 신자유 주의 시대의 몸에 관한 건강담론을 규율권력과 생체권력으로 해석하고, 정규 체육수업에서 드러나는 규 율사회와 관리사회의 양상을 분석하며 푸코의 자기계발 이론이 지배적 담론으로 자리 잡게 된 과정을 분석하였다. 학교건강체력평가(PAPS)에 나타나는 규율권력과 생체권력을 ‘처방, 정보공개, 평가 과정’으 로 구분하여 장기적 환자 담론을 통한 위기담론을 제시하고, 학교스포츠클럽에서의 신자유주의식 논리를 신체규율과 교육담론을 통해 해석하였다. 이러한 논의 과정을 통해 스포츠의 본질과는 무관한 담론의 학 교체육 성과를 신체활동 본연의 교육적인 방향으로 재모색해야 함을 제언하였다.
