Background: As the immigrants are increasing globally, the world becomes a society of diversity. In the society of cultural diversity, there is a increasement in the importance of culture education for innate foreigner to understand the Korea society well. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the applicability of HYO culture education, a Korean traditional culture, to KIIP of Ministry of Justice in Korea. Methodology/Approach: With this reason, Firstly, review the literature of interculturalism, secondly, the literature for the contents of the textbook with culture, identify the KIIP of the Ministry of Justice. Thirdly, the literature for education of Korean HYO culture. And Finally, review the applicability of HYO culture education, a Korean traditional culture, to KIIP of Ministry of Justice in Korea. Findings/Conclusions: Culture education based on interculturalism can create the new culture with the active interaction through the dialogue between the majority group and minority one with equality. Implications: As the education of Korean society and culture is the useful theme that is able to apply actually by the command of Korean language, there is a meaning of the applicability on the Korean HYO culture to the KIIP.

배경: 전 세계적으로 이민자들이 증가함에 따라 세계는 다양성의 사회가 되고 있다. 문화적 다양성의 사 회에서 한국사회에 대한 올바른 이해를 위해 국내에 체류중인 이민자들을 위한 문화교육의 중요성이 증 가하고 있다. 목적: 본 연구에서는 국내 체류 외국인을 위한 법무부 사회통합프로그램에 상호문화주의를 기반으로 한 국의 전통문화인 효문화에 대한 교육의 적용가능성을 검토하고자 한다. 방법론/접근: 이를 위해 먼저, 상호문화주의 관점과 관련된 주요 논의들을 정리하였다. 다음으로 사회통 합프로그램(KIIP)에 대한 간단한 설명과 교재에서 문화 관련 선행연구들을 검토한 후, 한국의 효문화와 그에 대한 교육에 대한 논의를 전통적인 관점과 현대적인 관점에서 논하였다. 마지막 결론 및 제언에서 는 한국의 효문화교육을 사회통합프로그램에 적용할 수 있는지를 상호문화주의 관점에서 검토한 후, 이 를 위해 몇 가지 내용들을 구체적으로 제안하였다. 결과/결론: 효문화교육에 대한 올바른 이해를 바탕으로 하는 상호문화주의 기반의 문화교육은 소수자 집 단과 다수자 집단 간에 평등한 입장에서 대화를 통한 활발한 상호작용을 통해 새로운 문화를 창조할 수 있다. 시사점: 한국의 사회와 문화에 관련된 정보를 한국어의 구사를 통해 실제로 적용할 수 있는 유용한 소재 가 된다는 점에서, 사회통합프로그램(KIIP)에서 활용하는 한국어교재를 중심으로 한국의 효문화와 관련된 교육의 적용가능성을 검토하였다는 것에 의의가 있다.
