Background: In our society, the perception of filial piety is facing many changes. The spirit and practice of filial piety is at a time when a new perspective on mutual relations and an alternative for concrete practice must be newly sought in consideration of the changes and trends of the times. The vertical relationship approach, which emphasizes respect for parents and examples for adults against the backdrop of the traditional Confucian society in the past, has limitations in applying it as it is in the rapidly changing social structure and climate in recent years. Therefore, I would like to discuss consideration ethics as an attempt to find the direction of filial piety education for the next generation. Consideration ethics is constructed from a new perspective that reflects women's experiences and characteristics by criticizing that existing ethics have male-centered prejudicial characteristics and emphasizes the mutual context of relationship, care, and empathy. Objective: This study aims to look at new alternatives to filial piety education in a relational context based on caring ethics based on mutual relationships, care, and empathy, away from the one-way filial piety of obedience that has been emphasized in traditional Confucian thought. Methodology/Approach: By examining the modern concept of filial piety and examining the possibility of filial piety education based on caring ethics, the possibility of concrete action plans for this was sought. Results/Conclusion: Noddings proposes moral education methods based on caring ethics divided into modeling, conversation, practice, and confirmation. As a result of examining specific applications in filial piety education, we examined ways to model filial piety practices at home and school and to share filial piety practices through SNS, open conversations about filial piety in caring relationships, experiences of mercy and altruism as a practice for others through volunteer participation, and confirmation of respecting and empathizing with other people's thoughts and opinions. Implications: It is time to think about education from a modern perspective in how to convey the spirit while maintaining the traditional idea of filial piety. Accordingly, it is hoped that more active research on practical filial piety education will continue in the future by reviewing the possibility of filial piety education based on caring ethics and suggesting specific action plans.

배경: 우리 사회에서 효에 대한 인식은 많은 변화를 맞이하고 있다. 효의 정신과 실천은 시대적 변화와 흐름을 고려하여 상호적 관계에 대한 새로운 관점과 구체적 실천을 위한 대안이 새롭게 모색되어야 할 시점에 있다. 과거 유교 전통사회를 배경으로 부모에 대한 공경과 어른에 대한 예를 강조하는 수직적 관 계의 접근은 최근 급격하게 변화되고 있는 사회구조 및 풍토 속에서 그대로 적용되는데 한계를 지닌다. 따라서 다음 세대를 위한 효교육의 방향을 모색하는데 있어서 하나의 시도로서 배려윤리에 대해 논의하 고자 한다. 배려윤리는 기존의 윤리학이 남성 중심의 편견적인 특징을 가지고 있음을 비판함을 통해서 여성의 경험과 특성을 반영하는 새로운 관점에서 구성된 것으로 관계, 돌봄, 공감이라는 상호적 맥락을 강조한다. 목적: 본 연구에서는 전통적 유교 사상에서 강조되어 온 순종이라는 일방향의 효의 인식에서 벗어나 상 호적 관계, 돌봄, 공감을 바탕으로 하는 배려윤리를 기반으로 한 관계적 맥락에서의 효교육의 새로운 대 안을 살펴보고자 한다. 방법론/접근 : 현대적 효개념을 살펴보고 배려윤리를 기반으로 하는 효교육의 가능성을 검토하여 이에 대한 구체적 실천방안의 가능성을 모색하였다. 결과/결론 : 나딩스는 배려윤리를 기반으로 한 도덕교육 방법을 모델링, 대화, 실천, 확증으로 나누어 제 안한다. 이를 토대로 효교육에서의 구체적 적용을 고찰한 결과, 가정과 학교에서의 효의 모범과 SNS등을 통한 효의 실천행동의 공유의 모델링, 서로를 배려하는 관계 속에서의 효에 대한 열린대화, 자원봉사 참 여를 통한 타인을 위한 실천으로서의 자비와 이타심 경험, 다른 사람의 생각과 의견을 존중하며 공감하 는 확증 등으로의 방안을 검토하였다. 시사점 : 전통적인 효의 사상은 유지하되 그 정신을 전달하는 방식에 있어서는 현대적 관점에서의 교육 을 고민해야 하는 시점이다. 이에 배려윤리를 기반으로 하는 효교육의 가능성을 검토하고 구체적인 실천 방안에 대한 제안을 통해 추후 실제적인 효교육에 대한 보다 활발한 연구가 이어지길 기대한다.
