As the average age of people is gradually increasing, the period of time that people have to live with aging is also increasing. However, aging brings with it a variety of physical and mental challenges, and how to effectively overcome these challenges is essential to improving quality of life. The elderly develop physical problems (ADLs, IADLs) and mental problems (cognitive function) as they age, and identifying which factors contribute to these problems and how severely they are affected is essential for the elderly to lead a happy life. Analyzing gender differences in these factors also helps us understand the elderly. The results show that spousal factors are more important for men than for women, and final education and children and grandchildren factors are more important for women than for men.

본 연구에서는 사람들의 평균연령이 점차 증가함에 따라, 사람들이 노화와 함께 살아야 하는 기간 또한 증가하고 있으며, 노화는 다양한 신체적, 정신적 도전을 동반하며, 이러한 도전을 어떻게 효과적으로 극복할 것인가는 삶의 질 향상 에 필수적입니다. 노인들은 나이가 들면서 신체적 문제(ADLs, IADLs)와 정신적 문제(인지기능)가 생기는데, 어떤 요인 들이 이러한 문제에 기여하고 얼마나 심하게 영향을 받는지를 파악하는 것은 노인들이 행복한 삶을 영위하는 데 필수적입 니다. 이러한 요인들의 성별 차이를 분석하는 것도 노인을 이해하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 판단되어 연구를 진행하였습니 다. 연구 결과, 남성이 여성보다 배우자 요인이 더 중요하고, 최종 교육과 자녀 및 손자 요인이 남성보다 여성에게 더 중요 하다는 것으로 나타났습니다.
