This study examines the transformation and maintenance of housewarming ceremonies by investigating the heritage of a housewarming gut play in Namhae-gun province in Gohyeon-myeon. It was found that no research related to this subject has been performed to date. Namhae Gohyeon housewarming gut play has similar properties to the Jisinbalgi and Eobneuleum rituals; hence, we investigated whether the gut housewarming ceremony is a universal housewarming tradition of Namhae-gun and whether any changes have occurred. The investigation was conducted in Namhae-gun county, and we considered the transformation and maintenance by using the qualitative research method. The results of the study of the housewarming ceremony of Namhae-gun are as follows. Jisinbalgi and Eobneuleum are spontaneously and informally performed during the housewarming party. The housewarming ceremony originated in Gohyeon-myeon and surrounding areas, but it later became obsolete. However, it was rediscovered in Ogok village, to which it has been passed on from Gohyeon-myeon. However, changes to the ritual and procedure of the housewarming ceremony have taken place over time. These changes relate to Magupae formation, attire, and so on when attending the competition or festival. The researchers determined that it is worth confirming the traditional housewarming culture of Korean society.

이 글은 남해군 지역을 대상으로 집들이 의례를 조사하여 지속과 변화를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 남해군 고현면에는 <남해고현집들이굿놀음>이 전승되고 있는데 이에 관한 연구는 이뤄지지 않았다. <남해고현집들이굿놀음>은 집들이 의례에 지신밟기와 업놀음이 있는 것이 특징이다. 이런 집들이 의례가 남해군의 보편적인 집들이인지 조사하고 변화된 것은 무엇인지를 고찰하였다. 조사범위는 남해군이고 질적 연구 방법을 사용하여 지속과 변화를 고찰하였다. 남해군 집들이 의례를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 지신밟기를 하고 업놀음을 하는 것은 집들이 잔치에서 자생적이고 비공식적인 의례였다. 고현면과 인근 지역에 활발하게 전승되었지만 소멸하였다가 2005년에 고현면 오곡마을에서 발굴하여 다시 전승의 맥을 잇게 되었다. 하지만 생활 속에서 집들이 의례를 하였던 것은 대회나 축제에 참여하기 위해 의례 순서, 매구패 구성, 복색 등이 변화될 수밖에 없었다. 그러나 전통 사회 집들이 문화를 엿볼 수 있는 것만으로도 가치가 있을 것으로 판단하였다.
