This study explores the dream culture of the Song Dynasty through dream narratives in the YiJianZhi(夷堅志), compiled by Hong Mai(洪 邁). The YiJianZhi is a collection of stories that Hong Mai “heard and collected,” during his travels as a provincial official. The author complied a range of stories in YiJianZhi covering various aspects of the Song Dynasty, including politics, economics, medicine, literature, folklore, and culture. The YiJianZhi is divided into four volumes, JiaZhi(甲志), YiZhi(乙志), BingZhi(丙志), and DingZhi(丁志), each of which was compiled at different times, and all of the collected stories have titles indicating their content. To explore the dream culture of the Song Dynasty, this study focuses on stories with the word “dream” in the title, and examines the development, meaning, and characteristics of Song Dynasty dream narratives. Dream narratives are evenly distributed across the four volumes of the YiJianZhi, with many dreams focusing on past examinations and government positions. We also observe that dreams were commissioned, questioned, recorded, and interpreted. Although the Song Dynasty inherited the dream culture of previous periods, there were both similarities and differences with the earlier traditions in terms of the method, content, and appearance of female interpreters. The study of dream narratives in the YiJianZhi is important for studying the cultural history of the Song Dynasty, and also reveals the transformation of Chinese dream narratives.

이 글은 송대(宋代)의 홍매(洪邁)가 편찬한 『이견지(夷堅志)』에 나타난 꿈 서사 를 통해 송대의 꿈 문화를 탐색해보려는 연구이다. 『이견지』는 저자인 홍매가 지 방관으로 다니면서 “수집하고 들은” 이야기라는 특징을 가지는데, 말하고 듣는 ‘이 야기’의 범위는 매우 광범위하여 『이견지를 통해 정치, 경제, 의학, 문학, 민속, 문 화 등 송대의 다양한 측면을 확인할 수 있다. 『이견지』는 ｢갑지(甲志)｣, ｢을지(乙 志)｣, ｢병지(丙志)｣, ｢정지(丁志)｣로 나뉘어 편찬되었는데, 각각 편찬된 시기가 각기 다르고, 수집된 모든 이야기에는 제목이 있어서 내용을 짐작할 수 있다. 이 연구에 서는 송대의 꿈 문화를 탐색하기 위해, 제목에 “꿈[夢]”이라는 글자가 있는 고사를 대상으로 삼았고, 송대의 꿈 서사가 어떻게 전개되고 그 의미는 무엇이며, 특징은 무엇인지에 대해 고찰하였다. “꿈”을 표제어로 한 꿈 서사는 『이견지』 네 권에 고르게 포진되어 있는데, 많은 꿈들이 과거시험이나 관직에 집중되어 있고, 꿈을 꾼 후에 꿈에 대한 의뢰, 문답, 기록, 해석이 이루어졌다는 것을 알 수 있다. 송대의 꿈 은 이전 시기의 꿈 전통을 계승하면서도, 꿈 해석의 방법, 내용, 여성 해석자의 등 장 등의 측면에서 이전의 꿈과 유사점과 차이를 가진다. 『이견지』에 나타난 꿈 서 사에 관한 연구는 송대의 문화사를 독해하는 동시에, 꿈 서사의 변화 과정을 읽게 한다.
