In the first half of the 18th century, Niwa Teiki(丹羽貞 機)was involved in the creation of the 『YagJaeJilJeongGisa(藥 材質正紀事)』 as the chief investigator of research and writing as the Japanese medical officer for the 10th Mujin(戊辰) of the Jo-seon Tongsin mission. Although the two documents had a common purpose of researching Jo-seon-centered products, each had its own unique characteristics. 『YagJaeJilJeongGisa(藥材質正紀事)』 Considering the attitude of medicinal material quality regulators who ask questions to confirm the identity of medicinal materials and leave pictures of the actual items, it reflects the trade situation at the time to open up a new route for medicinal material imports that used to depend on China and Jo-seon. This is a plan to reduce errors and accurately import medicinal materials before diversifying trade routes. In addition, it is a natural history characteristic that led to 『SeoMulRyuChan(庶物類纂)』 by Niwa Teiki(丹羽貞機). It can be said that Niwa Teiki(丹羽貞機), with the help of the Jo-seon Tongsin mission, created the to identify the true nature of Jo-seon special products that were difficult to research and to promote the spread of knowledge. In addition, its realization was possible because a competent scholar such as Koshi Tsuneemon(越常右衛門) participated in and supported the investigation of 『YagJaeJilJeongGisa(藥材質正紀事)』. This expansion of knowledge is due to the fact that 『Yag aeJilJeongGisa(藥材質正紀事)』 for accumulating knowledge related to medicinal materials and for identification of local products are materials with continuity. First, the literary significance of 『YagJaeJilJeongGisa(藥材質 正紀事)』 and can be found in the fact that the two materials are important as recorded literature. Second, it has major value as a linguistic and literary material that enables mutual research between the names of things in Northeast Asia through the Chinese character names of things in East Asia in the 18th century.

18세기 전반에 일본의 박물학자 니와 테이키(丹羽貞機)는 『약재 질정기사』의 조사책임자와 조선통신사 제10차 무진사행의 일본 측 醫官으로서 <조선국물산목차>의 작성에 관여했다. 두 자료 모두 조선 중심의 물산 조사가 공통된 목적이었지만, 각각의 고유한 특성과 가치를 지니고 있다. 『약재질정기사』는 일본의 약재 수급을 위한 조사 목적의 기록물 이라는 견해가 일반적이다. 그런데 약재의 정체성 확인을 위해 묻고, 실물을 그림으로 남기는 서술 방식은 이 자료가 중국과 조선 에 의존하던 일본의 무역 경로 다변화와 오류를 줄이고 약재를 정 확히 수입하기 위한 방안임을 드러내며, 이후에 니와 테이키에 의해 『서물류찬』으로 이어지는 박물학적 특성을 드러낸다고 할 수 있다. <조선국물산목차>는 니와 테이키가 조선통신사의 도움을 받아 조사가 어려운 조선 토산물의 실체를 파악하여 지식의 확산을 도모하기 위해 작성했다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 지식의 확장은 약재 관련 지식의 축적을 위한 『약재질정기사』와 토산물 규명을 위한 <조선국물산목차>가 그 목적의 연속성을 지니고 추진되었다는 점 에서 기인한다고 볼 수 있다. 이와 같은 『약재질정기사』와 <조선국물산목차>의 문학적 의의 는 첫째, 두 자료가 지닌 기록문학으로서의 중요성에서 찾을 수 있다. 이들 자료 모두 18세기 전반기에 한반도에 서식하던 생물과 주요 자원의 면모와 실체를 연구할 수 있는 기초 자료로서 중요한 가치를 지닌다. 둘째, 18세기 동아시아의 한자어 物名을 통한 동북아시아의 물 명 간 상호 연구를 가능케 하는 어문학 자료로서 그 주요한 가치 를 지녔다는 점이다.

18世紀前半に、日本の博物学者の丹羽貞機は、 『薬材質正紀事』の調 査責任者として参加し、朝鮮通信社第10回無陣死行の日本側醫官として <朝鮮国物産目次>の作成に関与した。両資料とも朝鮮中心の物産調査 が共通の目的であったが、それぞれ固有の特性を持っている。 『薬材質正紀事』は、日本の薬材需給のための調査目的の記録物という 見方が一般的だ。ところが、薬材のアイデンティティ確認のために尋ね、実 物を絵に残す叙述方式は、中国と朝鮮に依存していた日本の貿易経路多 様化と誤りを減らし、薬材を正確に輸入するための案であることを明らかにす る。そして、その後、ニーワテイキによって 『庶物類纂』につながる博物学的 特性を明らかにする資料といえる。 <朝鮮国物産目次>は、二和テイキーが朝鮮通信使の助けを借りて、調 査が難しい朝鮮土産物の実体を把握し、知識の拡散を図るために作成し た。このような知識の拡張は、薬材関連知識の蓄積のための 『薬材質正紀事』と土産物究明のための<朝鮮国物産目次>が、その目的の連続性を 持って推進されたという点に起因すると考えられる。 このような 『薬材質正紀事』と<朝鮮国物産目次>の文学的意義は、ま ず、二つの資料が持つ記録文学としての重要性で見つけることができる。 両資料とも18世紀前半に朝鮮半島に生息していた生物と主要資源の面貌と 実体を研究できる基礎資料として重要な価値を持つ。第二に、18世紀の東 アジアの漢字語物名を通じた北東アジアの物名間の相互研究を可能にする語文学資料として、その主要な価値を持ったという点だ。
