The Dual Mediating Effects of Self-Efficacy and Career Indecision in Relation to Work Value Factors and Career Planning of University Students
초록
영어
In this study, we aimed to examine the impact of University students' work value factors on career planning, as well as to verify the dual mediating effects of self-efficacy and career indecision. To achieve this, we utilized data from the 14th year(2020) of Youth Panel Survey(YP2007) conducted by the Korea Employment Information Service, and analyzed the responses of 862 University students. And We examined the relationships among variables using structural equation modeling. Additionally, we verified the significance of the dual mediating effects and individual indirect effects using bootstrapping method and phantom variables. The results are as follows. First, significant correlations were found among several research variables, and the path coefficients of all variables were significant. Second, work value factors had a direct impact on career planning, as well as indirect effects through self-efficacy and career indecision. Third, through the causal paths of self-efficacy and career indecision, work factors have a significant impact on career planning. Through this study, we looked at key important information that supports University students' career decisions and plans, and suggested a follow study that added more diverse factors, including career adaptability.
