This study presented the historical value and significance by examining in depth the characters of Daehan Judo School in the early days of Korean Judo in the development of national interest and overseas advancement. First, the Korean Judo Association and the Korean Judo School focused on training instructors to respond to continuous invitations from allies. Second, Park Gil-soon, who was from Korea Judo School, won the silver medal for the first time at the 5th World Judo Championships in Salt Lake City, USA in 1967 and became a world judo leader. Third, the people who strive for the truth of the spread of Korean judo gradually expanded, and in the difficult environment of overseas advancement, the students from the Judo school of Korea were in charge of the national interest. The results of this study showed that the figures of Daehan Judo School made a great contribution to the national interest in the development of national interest and overseas advancement in the early days of Korea Judo.

본 연구의 목적은 한국 유도의 초창기 국익선양 및 해외진출 발전사 에 있어서 대한유도학교 인물 중심으로 심도 있게 검토하여 역사적 가 치와 의의를 제시하였다. 첫째, 대한유도회·대한유도학교에서는 우방 각국의 계속적인 초청에 응하기 위하여 지도자 훈련에 주력하였을 뿐만 아니라 외국에 파견된 지도자들의 인격 및 기술도약에 힘을 기울였다. 둘째, 대한유도학교 출신인 박길순은 1967년 미국 솔트레이크시의 제5회 세계유도선수권 대회에서 처음으로 은메달을 차지하여 세계유도정상에 올라 국익선양에 일익을 담당하였다. 또한 그때 당시 해외로 진출한 대 한유도학교 출신들은 미국, 서독, 프랑스, 말레이시아 등에 비하여 열악 한 국내사정에 비한다면 한국 유도보급의 진면목을 보여주었다. 셋째, 한국 유도의 보급 진면목을 위해 노력하는 사람들의 모습이 차츰 확대 하여 해외 진출의 어려운 환경 속에 있어서 대한유도학교 출신들은 국 익을 담당하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 한국유도 초창기 국익선양 및 해외 진출 발전사에 있어서 대한유도학교 인물들이 국익에 지대한 공헌을 하였음을 알 수 있었다.
