This study examined the identity and educational value of sports in the process of development after Sjoelen , a traditional sport derived from the Netherlands, was introduced in Korea in 2014. With a 400-year history, Sjoelen has hosted the Sjoelen World Cup every two years around Europe since 1976. This study systematically and academically systematized Sjoelen by organizing and analyzing the activation of Sjoelen's life sports to predict the future of Sjoelen. First, Sjoelen's history, domestic introduction background, and activities were described, second, the direction of training judges and instructors from a historical perspective was discussed, and third, the direction of Korean sports was suggested through Sjoelen. Accordingly, it was proposed to revitalize the economy by systematizing Sjoelen's history and development process, game rules, and referee qualifications, which are currently increasing in interest and social demand in Korea.

본 연구는 네덜란드에서 유래된 전통 스포츠인 슐런이 2014년 우리나 라에 도입된 이후 발전 과정에서 스포츠의 정체성과 교육적 가치를 고 찰하였습니다. 400년의 역사를 가진 슐런은 1976년부터 2년마다 유럽을 돌며 슐런 월드컵을 개최하였습니다. 본 연구는 슐런의 생활 스포츠 활 성화를 정리하고 분석하여 슐런의 미래를 예측함으로써 슐런을 체계적 이고 학문적으로 체계화하였습니다. 첫째, 슐런의 역사와 국내 도입 배 경, 활동을 기술하고, 둘째, 역사적 관점에서 심판과 강사를 양성하는 방 향을 논의하고, 셋째, 슐런을 통해 한국 스포츠의 방향을 제시하였습니 다. 이에 현재 우리나라에서 관심과 사회적 수요가 증가하고 있는 슐런 의 역사와 발전 과정, 경기 규칙, 심판 자격 등을 체계화하여 경제를 활 성화할 것을 제안하였다.
