This study conducted a systematic literature review on depression among older adults in the domestic context, using keywords like “elderly”, “depression”, “mental health”, and “psychological difficulties” in databases RISS, KISS, and Scholar. Among 148 initially identified articles published up to May 9, 2023, 28 were selected after removing duplicates and gray literature, and analyzed based on abstracts and full texts. Key findings included a consistent rise in research on depression among older adults since 1999, typically utilizing panel data and comparing early-old to late-old adults. Common factors associated with depression in both groups included subjective health status, education level, chronic illnesses, marital status, socioeconomic status, and social support. In early-old adults, gender and social isolation were the most frequent factors related to depression. These results offer insights into depression factors among older adults and implications for further research and interventions.

본 연구는 전기 노인의 우울에 관한 체계적 문헌 고찰 연구 방법을 활용해 국내의 연 구 동향을 파악하고 후속 연구와 실천적인 해석을 도출하기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 RISS, KISS, Scholar 3개의 웹 데이터베이스에 <전기 노인>의 <우울>, <정신건강>, <심리적 어려움>을 키워드로 2023년 5월 9일까지 게재된 국내 학술지 148건의 논문 을 검색했다. 중복 문헌과 회색 문헌을 제외, 관련된 키워드를 중심으로 초록과 전문을 검토해 최종 분석 대상으로 28건의 문헌을 분석했다. 연구 결과 첫째, 전기 노인의 우 울에 관한 연구는 1999년 이후로 꾸준히 진행되고 있다. 연구는 주로 다양한 기관의 패 널데이터를 활용하였고, 전기 노인과 후기 노인을 비교하는 연구가 주를 이루었다. 둘 째, 전·후기 노인의 우울과 관련한 공통 요인에서 주관적 건강상태, 교육 수준, 만성 질 환, 배우자 유무·사회 경제적 상태, 사회적지지가 가장 높은 빈도로 나타났다. 셋째, 전 기 노인의 우울 관련 요인은 성별과 사회적 고립이 가장 높은 빈도로 나타났다. 연구를 통해 전기 노인의 우울에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인을 확인했다. 이러한 결과를 통해 후 속 연구와 실천적인 개입에 관한 함의를 제시했다.
