The purpose of this study is to investigate how the space structure, time structure, and movement structure in Korean dance are constructed through the yin-yang five-element principle of Oriental aesthetics. The research method was to analyze aesthetic principles based on literature research, focusing on the fact that oriental ideas and philosophy are inherent in Korean traditional dance movements. In addition, the objects of study are the dances of entertainers performed from a folk perspective, excluding jeongjae and ceremonial dances. The most basic stage of the dance movement principle in spatial structure appears and can be observed through the heaven, earth, sun, and moon. Human beings form the Samjae by interacting with heaven and earth, and they form the Samjae by interacting with the sun and moon. The principle of dance movements in the time structure is the Taegeuk structure based on the yin-yang principle, but what I want to emphasize here is that there must be a temporal flow for the breathing to change from yang to yin. The aesthetic structure of dance movements appears as the movement of the head, torso, and each limb part acts through the structure of yin and yang. The flow of dance movements is the principle of Taegeuk, which consists of repetitive movements that cycle through creation and extinction, and these dance movements repeat in a structure of unification and differentiation.

본 연구의 목적은 한국춤에 있어서 공간 구조, 시간 구조, 동작 구조가 동양미학의 음양오행적 원리를 통해 어 떻게 구축되는지를 규명하고자 하는데 있다. 연구 방법은 한국전통춤 춤사위에는 동양적 사상과 철학이 내재되 어 있다는 것에 중점을 두고 문헌연구를 바탕으로 미학적 원리를 분석하였다. 또한 연구 대상으로는 정재나 의 식무를 제외하고, 민속적 관점에서 추어지는 예인들의 춤들이 연구대상이다. 공간 구조에 있어서의 춤사위 원 리는 가장 기본적인 단계는 천지일월(天地日月)을 통해 나타나고 이를 살펴볼 수 있다. 인간은 천지(天地)와 서 로 감응하면서 삼재를 이루고, 일월(日月)과 교감하면서 삼재를 이룬다. 시간 구조에 있어서의 춤사위 원리는 음양원리에 의한 태극 구조이지만 여기서 강조하고자 하는 것은 시간적인 흐름이 있어야 양에서 음으로 전환 되는 호흡이 이루어진다는 것이다. 춤사위 동작의 미학적 구조는 음양의 구조를 통해 머리와 몸통, 그리고 사 지 각 부분의 움직임이 작용하면서 나타난다. 춤사위의 움직임의 흐름은 생성과 소멸을 순환하면서 반복 동작 으로 구성된 태극의 원리이며, 이러한 춤사위는 통일과 분화 구조로 반복한다.
