Since the last decade, lots of youth-discourses have been presented for overcoming youngsters’ troubles caused by severe competition. In this period those discussions usually led by the older generation scholars who analyzed cultural significance of new generations. However in this process the youngsters are mere object of observation and interpretation. Christian leaders have also concerned not the young Christians but the collapse of their own world built in the past. Church leaders still regarded them as the resource for Church growth. Therefore their conclusions have focused on how to bring back the young people to the church. However Korean youngsters express their troubles and scorns through neologism which has been created and spread mainly via online media. In the neologism, there are radical expressions of despair or psychological comport enjoying small pleasure. This thesis seriously analyzes various neologism of the young generation for understanding their life situation with applying to Christian ministries for them. Three categories are as follows. First is ‘surplus-person’ or ‘loser’ which contains self-deprecating aesthetic. Second is ‘assa’(outsiders) who chose the isolated life. And the Third is ‘kkondae’ which is a mockery toward older people who believe they are always right. These new words present personal despair and social disconnect with negative nuance. However, they also suggest possibilities for the alternative life and communities out of myth of success and competitive structure in the capitalistic society. Jesus Christ proclaimed the Kingdom of God with stimulating contemporary people’s imagination for the new world. Christian gospel should be applied in the praxis of today’s youth with encouraging their choice of another option. This thesis emphasizes on self-efficacy. Many youngsters discouraged by constant failures in their life. Thus the churches should start from curating good examples of fellow youngsters’ alternative life and works. They can be charming models for their imitation. Then they try to practice the common project which can provide them self-efficacy. These approaches can also provide Christian communities strong regiment and solidarity.

지난 10여 년간 어려운 상황을 극복하기 위한 청년들의 분투와 기성세대의 위로와 충고가 우리 사회와 교회에 넘쳐났다. 세대 분석에 기초한 청년 담론의 ‘발화 주체’는 주로 ‘문화 매개자’를 자처하는 기성세대 전문가 집단이며, 이들에게 청년은 단지 해 석의 대상일 뿐이다. 오늘날 기독 청년 담론을 주도하는 기성세대가 염려하는 ‘다음 세대’ 기독교는 자신들이 쌓아 올린 세계가 무너질지 모른다는 불안을 반영한다. 이들 의 결론은 어떻게 청년들을 교회로 돌아오게 할 것인가라는 진단과 처방에 그친다. 반복된 고통과 위로의 과정으로 청년세대는 자신들의 삶과 사회에 대해 극단적인 절망을 표명하거나 소소한 쾌락에서 심리적 안정을 취한다. 젊은이들의 생각과 감정 은 그들이 만들어 낸 신조어들에 고스란히 담겨있다. 본 논문은 그 신조어들에 주목 하며 우리 시대 청년 담론을 분석하고 논의한다. 자신을 실패자로 규정하는 ‘잉여’의 조소 미학과 ‘소확행’ 생존 기술, 개인적 고립을 선택하는 ‘아싸’의 나 홀로 삶, 그리고 앞선 세대 조언을 ‘꼰데’와 ‘라떼’라 부르는 조롱 역학이 그 세 키워드이다. 이 단어들 은 분명 청년들이 개인적으로 또한 사회적으로 단절감을 표명하는 부정적 뉘앙스의 용어들이다. 그러나 이 신조어에는 실패와 포기를 선언하며 다른 삶의 방식을 모색해 볼 가능성을 내포한다. 예수님이 선포한 하나님 나라 운동은 새로운 세상에 대한 상상력을 자극한다. 본 논문이 강조하는 제안은 대안적 실천을 통한 ‘효능감’이다. 실패의 반복으로 좌절하고 포기하는 청년들이 작은 가치부터 실행하고 성취하는 경험이 필요하다. 교회와 청년 공동체는 대안적 선택을 통해 새로운 가능성을 실험한 동시대 청년들의 사례들을 조 사하고 소개하는 큐레이션 작업이 필요하다. 청년들의 일상에 사회적 가치 실현의 사 례가 매력적인 ‘전시’를 통한 동료의 ‘모방’을 자극하고 타인에게 확산시킬 필요가 있 다. 기독 청년 사역을 위해 이러한 대안적인 실천은 개인적 효능감과 함께 집단의 연 대와 결속을 강화하는 좋은 기폭제가 될 것이다.
